💔 Bruce Willis’ daughter speaks about the actor’s condition as he battles a severe form of dementia: “I’m grateful that I can still hug him” Rumer, 37 — the eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore — admitted in her Instagram Stories that it’s always difficult for her to talk about her father’s condition. Still, she remains hopeful: 🙏“I'm so grateful that when I go over there and I give him a hug, whether he recognizes me or not, that he can feel the love I've given him and I can feel it back from him that I still see a spark of him and he can feel the love that I'm giving and so that feels really nice.” In February 2023, Bruce Willis was diagnosed with a severe form of frontotemporal dementia. The symptoms include progressive memory loss, speech impairment, disorientation, and the inability to recognize loved ones — the actor has almost completely lost the ability to memorize lines and speak.

Is it the best way to wake up in the morning? No. But point taken: Willis needs to be considered. Die Hard with a Vengeance is my favorite Willis role of all time. With films like this in his holster, it’s hard not to consider Willis.

Growing up as a kid one of my favorite movies was Die Hard. Bruce Willis was awesome. Willis, who now is not totally verbal any longer thanks to Dementia at age 68, is supported by an incredible family, who recently released this video of him on his birthday. “He’s not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader — he didn’t want anyone to know that — and he’s not reading now. All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he’s still Bruce,” said his friend Glenn Gordon Caron. Dementia is a terrible disease which I truly believe will be curable soon thanks to the technological progress we have been making. Having had two grandparents suffer from the disease I can't tell you how heartbreaking it is. I'm glad Willis appears to have incredible family support in his battle.
