Jackson predates Prince and blazed the way for Prince. That said, Prince was more than just a music artist. His live performances were events, not just concerts. He raised the bar for performers who came after him. I can’t think of any current living artist who can touch them across the board.

I was alive at the time and prince was no where near as famous as Michael. It wasn’t even close. Michael was bigger than the Beatles at his height.

I challenge people to listen to Prince music. No it’s not Michael, but his music is just as good and as timeless. They both matched each other in style, redefined genres and stage presence. Without Prince, you don’t get the New Jack Swing sound which launched a lot of artists
