This was our experience at the Buc-ee's Beaver in Sevierville TN. The last thing I would do is park at the gas pump and go into the store and shop for an hour or two. I wish people would respect an EV charging station with that in mind. We were lucky and got a charging spot but after we filmed this, all of the empty spots were taken by ICE cars. Several EV’s arrived and tried to find a spot but had to keep circling. Elon, could Tesla go one step further with the hosts and post signs stating For EV Charging Only? Imagine being stranded at 12:00 midnight with barely any battery, and Tata’s response is: “Oops, sorry you’re at a Tata EV charger we are from Tata motors team . One team member said he was busy with family and couldn’t talk. No customer care, no urgency, no real help. Also, serious question how did you call me without me sharing my number? Isn’t that a privacy concern? Huge thanks to Xroaders paaji for stepping in and helping us reach home. 🙏 Otherwise, we would’ve been stuck there for hours. Never thought you could be left stranded just because charger software isn’t working. This isn’t a small glitch it directly impacts safety. Reality check: You still can’t comfortably drive from Jaipur to Chandigarh in one go. Even something like a G-Wagon EV would need charging en route. 24 Hours After Delivery!!! A Hyderabad man bought an EV car spending a whooping Rs 25 lakh on 2nd June 2026. He happily drives his Vinfast VF MPV7 home and on 3rd June morning they come back to the showroom for charging the vehicle. But the vehicle apparently broke down right in front of the showroom. The customer says the Vinfast dealer Naresh Automobiles at Raidurgam, Hyderabad has been very unresponsive and are refusing to even exchange the car. According to him, he drove a total of 5kms and it is now lying at the showroom. The customer filed a complaint at the consumer court and awaiting response. Vehicle users in India are just getting assaulted from every side. You buy petrol vehicle, fuel comes with E20, E100 or sugarcane juice for exorbitant price. Diesel doesn’t have added fruit juices but equally expensive. If you buy EV, there is an extreme shortage of charging stations and worse you don’t know if you will get the right kind of service. Also, there are a few cases of technical issues around Vinfast in US & Vietnam (the country of manufacture), not sure of the vehicle performance in Indian markets as yet.

I know this has been said many times before, when it comes to a road trip, you are faster in a Cybertruck not to charge too much but rather stop more often. Another thing that is important while doing so, is to arrive with a low state of charge, so that you take advantage of the faster charging of Cybertruck. Here an example from my last road trip back from Palm Desert, CA. As you can tell, in my live stream I talked about the navigation showing me 40 minutes of charging to get from Shawnee, OK to Van Buren, AR. Instead of doing that, I opted to put another charging stop in-between, at Henryetta, OK. That split the charging into 6min and 17min, total of 23 minutes. I arrived in Van Buren, AR with 5% SOC, meaning I could have charged for only 15min instead of 17min. You can see how that adds up over time and makes your trip shorter. Sure, that is not something you would want to do if you just bought your first EV and/or your suffer from range anxiety.
