I have literally never heard an answer this long that absolutely doesn’t answer the question

At some point this is all just a bunch of bullshit. I refuse to believe that the football team that was in the top 10 among FBS programs in wins from 2000 to 2020 with no money and with a ton of 3 star or less talent should somehow need a massive financial backing in order to win

Read Mcintosh's work history. Maybe the most unimpressive resume I've ever seen for this level of a job. Barry isn't innocent in this matter either.

What a bs answer. Terrible job following up Jesse.

I got dumber listening to this answer.

Jc, this guy is a lost cause. What else would u evaluate a sports team by other than wins and losses. Get this fucking clown out of Madison

Was there a follow up question calling back to when Paul was fired, Mac and Fickell saying “championships are the expectation”? How can you say it’s not limited to wins and losses now after moving away from Chryst for WAY WAY less

Winning Off The Field, right? Seriously, Fickell is Don Morton with an Ohio State pedigree. Let me spell it out for McIntosh who I don’t think is too bright: Fickell was a mistake

Was follow up questions allowed in the interview? Really driving me nuts that three years ago he hired Fick for Championships and now it’s not about wins or losses. So what happened in three years? I mean if I preformed like this in my job I’d be looking for a new job!

Interesting response to $$...their sponsors and marketing campaigns for the kids. That is what NIL was supposed to be...he still sounds way behind on what NIL really is..it's pay to play. Putting a kid in a Culvers commercial ain't going to cut it. I do love their burgers though.

The interviewer should be embarrassed . . . these questions were awful.

McExcuses swung for the fence with Fickell and struck out. He has failed to maintain the integrity of the brand to recruits as well as fans. More money is just another excuse. New AD is the first and most immediate step. Fresh eyes to evaluate the coach and program.

It’s definitely 100% about wins and losses.

Translation we are going to throw more money at the program and hope for the best. McIntosh is seriously one of the stupidest ADs I have ever seen.

He is so unfit to be an AD. We are way overdue for a house cleaning. Bring in someone who has a realistic and achievable vision for Wisconsin. Look what Indiana has done in 3 years.

Never has an AD needed to not be in the spotlight more than this guy...the more he talks the more fans run away. They're all hollow words just like Fick's tenure has been so far and I was happy as hell at the big swing but at some point you have to realize when you're wrong.

Absolute word salad answer. Responded, but said nothing of substance.

I’ll say it again. You have to start by removing CM from the AD role. That is a must. Let the new AD evaluate the coach and/or pick the next one.

Follow question: what have you seen in the last 3 years that shows any of what you said is possible.

McIntosh is the problem

Lmfao. McIntosh out here creating participation programs. Hell yeah!

Chris McIntosh is an embarrassment to the University. What a terrible interview.

I will not donate a dollar until McIntosh is gone. This guy is a loser.

He goes from saying championships are the standard to success isn’t measured my wins and losses

Congrats on losing more of the fan base plus revenue in 2026

Nothing burger!

"Tremendous amount of work that must be done" with absolutely zero direction from this dude. What a joke.

What. Are. The. Factors.?

this is embarrassing!!!

Absolute BS. Wins arent the only measurement? This isn't Jr Tackle football. Unbelievable.

Great. He said literally nothing of substance in that clip except Mnookin is easily convinced and that donors need to shell out more money

Considering wisconsin is now the worst team in the big 18 a d possibly all of the power 4 conferences, even being surpassed by northwestern, Vanderbilt, Indiana, cannot really go any lower so success is winning those mid major NC games and cashing the Fox, NBC, CBS checks

I think a good start would be start welcoming your alumni athleteso they feel welcome....
