Do you know why God put Adam to sleep before creating Eve? This wasn’t an insignificant detail. It’s one of the most overlooked and yet most crucial moments in the Bible. Genesis makes it clear. Before the woman was formed, God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep. He wasn’t allowed to watch, he wasn’t allowed to help. He wasn’t even allowed to witness it. He had to be completely still while God worked alone. Because Eve was not designed by Adam. She wasn’t his idea. She wasn’t his extension. Her existence belonged to God first. I put together a video to honor Anthony, something to capture a bit of his personality and the light he brought to those around him. Of course, no video could ever truly do him justice. He was so much more than a fantasy football analyst, he was a joy to be around, and a genuine soul. Anthony used to joke that everyone liked Michael Hauff and hated him. And every time, Hauff would push back and remind him how untrue that was. The outpouring of love and support for Anthony and his family over the past 24 hours has only confirmed it. This weekend is striking me much more intensely than it ever has. The crucification and resurrection of Jesus Christ. What Jesus went through.. the way He remained silent to the priests and elder’s accusations who had arrested Him out of envy. How the priests and elders persuaded the mob to crucify Jesus instead of the notorious criminal Barrabas. The way Pilate was persuaded by the mob and Pilate washed his hands of it and said, “I am innocent of this man’s blood. The responsibility is yours!” The way the soldiers mocked Him, tortured Him and crucified Jesus as the mob mocked, cheered and watched. The details of this utterly break my heart. And in the midst of it all while being crucified, He saved a man who was being crucified next to Him saying, “Today you will be with me in Paradise”. How on the cross being in excruciating pain He asked for forgiveness for those who were crucifying Him. “For they know not what they do.”💔 And Jesus did it all so that we could be washed clean and enter into heaven to be with Him. My prayer is that more than ever in the history of the humanity, God receives thankful prayers of love for the sacrifice He made and hearts open and receive Him into their lives this weekend. That He sees the gratefulness in our hearts for this life we have been so blessed to be given to stumble and journey through with Him. I also pray mercy for us all that He comfort and be with us every step of the way when we pick up our cross and say, “Here am I, send me.” If this reaches you I hope it’s comforting to know, you are not alone. If you’re not familiar with this story I read Matthew 27 in the Bible today, then I would go to John 3:16. Have a loving #ResurrectionDay this 2024. God bless you. He is Risen.

Judge Frank Caprio was such a good hearted soul. Always enjoyed seeing him in the courtroom, because he never, ever felt intimidating. He was one of the few people who seemed like he was born to be a judge and lead, because he really did his best to help each person and not just punish. He was strangely comforting in a role that many of us naturally are afraid to be in front of. They called him the "World's Nicest Judge" and he truly deserved it. Found a clip he posted just yesterday on his page before he passed. He asked for prayers but more importantly, to be remembered. And I hope we honor that for him. Rest in love and light, Judge Caprio. Thank you for being one of the kind ones. 🪽
