⚡️🇸🇾🇺🇸JUST IN: The Pentagon said two American soldiers and a translator were killed, and three others wounded, in an ISIS ambush during a U.S. meeting with a Syrian security delegation near Palmyra in the Homs countryside, aimed at combating ISIS. Several members of the Syrian delegation were also injured. A Syrian Interior Ministry spokesperson said the attacker was a member of the Syrian security forces who was suspected of extremist views [ISIS] and was due to be held accountable, but carried out the attack before action was taken.

According to local sources, 4 members were reportedly killed and several captured including an Iraqi leader overseeing operations in N. Syria and the desert.

Kurdish fighters defended the facility for three days, hoping that U.S. forces would relocate the detainees to prevent them from being freed by the new so called Syrian army.
