The DOJ investigated itself to find out how parents speaking at school board meetings became targets of federal law enforcement. Attorney General Todd Blanche says the new Weaponization Working Group report exposes how it happened. “Parents were either physically stopped or verbally stopped from talking and speaking up about what was happening in their schools and with their kids.” “And even at times arrested and prosecuted for standing up and talking.” “So what the DOJ did was we went and we looked inside to try to understand what went wrong.” “How can it be that an activist organization can go to the FBI and the DOJ and encourage them to actually arrest parents and investigate parents who are speaking up for their kids?” “And then have the DOJ actually issue a memo.” “There were a handful of lawyers who raised their hand and said, ‘I’m not sure we should be doing this.’” “Unfortunately, their views didn’t carry the day, and the memo was still issued.” “We’ve put in place within the department not only good people but practices that will stop some outside leftist organization from being able to have access to leadership at the department and at the FBI to push this narrative.” Attorney General Todd Blanche

.Stephen Moore: Private sector employment is growing, and public sector jobs are shrinking. That's exactly what we want to see. We want to see the government shrink and private sector jobs grow. And by the way, this is the exact opposite of what we saw under Biden.

Senator Johnson cleared the record and said he does not trade stocks himself. “I agree with the spirit of this.” “We have too many career politicians- we don’t have enough people who have experience in the private sector. We need more, we need to encourage them- not discourage them. This piece of legislation would be hugely discouraging to people from the private sector coming here and serving.”

I’m honoured to have the endorsement of the United Steelworkers, the largest private-sector union in Canada. Together we will rebuild this party for the working class and protect workers from sector to sector to sector.

We were always told that the Govt. does less and the private sector does more, but when it comes to women, it’s the opposite.

Fred Matiang’i: If we were in government, we would not sign that kind of G-to-G arrangement. If was president, I would revamp NOC and ensure that it is doing its rightful role in this. Private sector companies and cartels in the marketing sector would not be involved in this. The solution is why we are asking for the replacement of this administration so that we can provide Kenya with a better government and more responsible leaders. I believe I am the alternative #CitizenSundayLive

"Where Is the Youth?" Lasizwe Challenges all CEO’s at the FNB Private (Wealth) Event At FNB’s Private Wealth Series, entrepreneur and media personality Lasizwe Dambuza challenged a room of CEOs, executives and private sector leaders with one question: “Where are the youth in this room?” During a discussion on South Africa’s economic future, Lasizwe questioned what the private sector is doing to intentionally empower the next generation not only through employment, but by investing in the media space, where culture is shaped, ideas are shared and millions of young South Africans are influenced every day. “If we’re serious about building South Africa’s future, why aren’t young people in these rooms? And what is the private sector doing to strengthen the media ecosystem that educates, inspires and creates opportunities for the youth?” His remarks sparked a broader conversation about representation, access and whether South Africa is truly preparing young people to lead or simply expecting them to inherit systems they were never invited to help build.

"We will get to the other side of this Iran conflict... We're seeing this technological burst in the U.S. We are seeing a re-industrialization... And what's important now for the U.S. is these are private sector jobs." Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the U.S. economy is entering a "healing" phase, pointing to rising real incomes and private-sector growth as signs of momentum. And as the world tries to wash away debt accumulated in the years following the financial crisis and COVID, Bessent says there’s one way forward. "The only way for us to get out of this is to grow our way out of it."

Maybe the private sector is trying to tell us something? There is only interest in 10% of the oil pipeline to the West Coast from the private sector, and it's not binding. Danielle Smith: I thought it was going to be 0% at this point, if you want the truth. 🤔

“We do this while ensuring that it is easier to build even for the private sector … These are the ways we can ensure that we build more than 4 houses per 1,000 people, that we start to get up to Jersey City and Tokyo.” Watch this and tell me again this is not an abundance YIMBY.

BILL GATES: MILLIONS COULD DIE FROM ELON SHUTTING DOWN USAID “Elon’s private sector work has been very innovative, really fantastic. [But] a lot of private-sector people, when they get into government, they don't necessarily take the time to see what the good work is or why it's structured the way it is. So I'm a little worried, particularly with this USAID stuff. My foundation partners with USAID on nutrition and getting vaccines out... In fact, if we don't, you know, you could have literally millions of deaths." Source: The View, February 4, 2025

Congrats to NASA X-59 team in getting off the ground yesterday. But as Jared Isaacman points out, let’s not forget (776 co) already did this faster, better, and 10X cheaper—and without hundreds of millions in taxpayer money—NASA is awesome, but we can't deny the role the private sector plays here (and we should focus their resources on doing ambitious important stuff that doesn't have obvious private sector incentives)
