I just want us to live in reality. Are all white voters opposed to Black leadership? No. Do many white voters want a certain type of Black leader? Absolutely. And that type is usually watered down, white-washed, and made palatable for comfort. That strategy consistently turns off a large portion of the Democratic base. Elections aren’t about feelings. They’re about numbers. So spare me the opinions about Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico. If the record shows that heavily funding and running “less polarizing” candidates keeps producing losses, then maybe — just maybe — it’s time to try something different. I’ve run for the U.S. Senate. I’m not guessing when I say this: putting real resources behind candidates who actually engage Black and Brown voters is the path. A new version of the same old strategy keeps losing. They tried Beto. They tried Collin. Neither was considered “polarizing.” Both lost. So don’t tell me what can’t win. The most polarizing man on the planet is president right now. America elects polarizing candidates all the time. Audacity wins when it’s funded. What I’m asking is simple: stop ignoring Black voters in the South. If you have one million Black voters on the table and you’re 200,000 votes short, your odds of winning increase by engaging those Black voters — not chasing white ones who have already shown you who they are. That’s not ideology. That’s math. I’m glad people are debating this openly, because we need to clean it up if we actually want to pick up Senate seats. ✨ I made a 100% AI video of a single night in 🇩🇪 Berlin's underground techno scene Doing an AI shoot is very much like a real life shoot, you have to prepare locations, settings, outfits and models, you can do the same: 1) First I generated photos with the [ 🇩🇪 Berlin nightlife ] photo pack on they're all non-existing AI people except me and my gf 2) Then I put the pics I liked in Kling AI to make them into 10 second videos (with Professional Mode), soon I'll have API access and it'll be one-click inside Photo AI to turn a photo into a 10-sec video, it then takes about 5 minutes to make a video. It's not always great, especially dancing is hard to get right! 3) Then I wanted to have a German narrator talking about Berlin's techno nights in a poetic way like a documentary, so I asked ChatGPT 4o: "write in the style of a cult German novelist about the Berlin techno scene" I then copied that text into Eleven Labs and selected a German AI voice 4) I then collected all the videos, the music and the audio narrator and edited them together in Final Cut Pro adding music from HÖR and adding audio effects 5) Then I added English captions with CapCut Time to make it: 3 hours for 1 minute of video I hope you like it! My dream is to have this entire pipeline in Photo AI at some point. Connecting to Kling AI's video API is the first step to that. I made a mistake and I'm willing to serve a suspension which I deserve. I don't want young kids who look up to the Springboks to think that it's OK to eye gouge someone, because it's not, but unfortunately mistakes happen and I made a big one for which I'm sorry. But I'd like to answer the question - why did you do such a thing? It was a mistake caused by my reaction and other factors that played a role. Slide 1: The scuffle was basically over when Wales #7 struck me with an open hand to my chin/neck area, you can see me looking at the Assistant Referee and waiting for a reaction from him (it happened fast and it's understandable that he didn't see it) without reacting yet, I got another pull on my jersey, before I go in with the similar type of action. Slide 2: You can clearly see my first point of contact is against his shoulder with an open hand, just like he did, except he got me on the chin. Another thing worth mentioning, when he struck me, I was standing still with not a lot of movement or players trying to get involved. When I went for the same open hand towards his shoulder, you'll see 2 Welsh players changing the dynamic of the entire picture as well as one of my teammates pulling Wales #7 around his neck away from my hand and where my force is going. Slide 3: Another Camera Angle So why did I post this? To try and show people how everything happened and that it was never intentional. Nvidia has just announced Alpamayo 2 Super, an open 34 billion parameter reasoning vision-language-action model designed to accelerate the development of autonomous vehicles. This new model combines the NVIDIA Cosmos 3 Super reasoning model with a 2 billion parameter diffusion-based action expert model, and is post trained with reinforcement learning. The model can return multiple outputs: future trajectory plans, reasoning traces, grounded answers to questions about the scenes, and auto label generation. The model weights are now available for anyone to download on Hugging Face, and the inference code has been posted to GitHub. Distilled models can be deployed commercially without any further permission from Nvidia, and model outputs carry no license conditions. Automakers can distill down a compact version of this model that can run on the Nvidia computer in the car. Major kudos to Nvidia and Jensen Huang for advancing the state of the industry by releasing this as an open model with permissive licensing. Jensen isn't just paying lip service to the idea of open models, Nvidia is actually contributing to the ecosystem — and it's great for their business, because it helps sell more Thor computers that go in the car. You can’t make anyone else change; all you can do is create the conditions where change is more likely to happen. I remember speaking with an administrator and hearing him complain that his staff wasn’t moving forward. Instead of commiserating with him at that moment, I said, “Maybe it’s you?” It caught him off guard, but there was a point. Too often, myself included, when we try to lead people to new ideas, and they don’t immediately embrace them, we blame them instead of looking at where we may be deficient. Sometimes, the new “approach” is sharing the ideas over again, only louder. That approach rarely works. In this week’s newsletter, I shared 3 things that have helped me rethink how to help create better conditions for others to embrace change. 1. Truly listen to their thoughts and viewpoints, and be open to the idea that your way might not be the best. 2. Recognize that you also had resistance to new ideas, including things that you might consistently do and believe today. Be open with your own story of resistance and what made you change. 3. Start by focusing on the areas in which others are excelling, as opposed to your perception of their deficits. People who feel valued are more likely to move forward. People who feel you are trying to “fix” them will fight you non-stop. You can only control your own actions. What do others see in you that will make them want to move forward, by your side? The 351st Bomb Group's mission narrative indicates that this was the aircraft's second combat mission having been delivered to the 510th two weeks earlier, and it was one of five of the group's aircraft to be lost that day: Mission No. 47 – October 9, 1943 The Group was briefed to attack the Arado Aircraft Factory at Anklam, Germany. The crews were very concerned when confronted by the mission details. It was the longest flight to date, with expected moderate to heavy flak concentrations. After the briefing, Sgt. Pete Zibas, the engineer on Lt. Garcia’s aircraft, recalls the gunners clamoring for an additional four cans of ammunition per gun. Twenty-one planes were led by Colonel Burns, Captain Carraway, and Lt. Norris with Lt. Stackhouse navigating and Lt. Winter as bombardier. Here's my first series of Anime created by Generative AI. Vidu 2.0 is a groundbreaking advancement for storytelling in the Anime style. #vidu @Viduforhuman Hi everyone 😊 😉 Here's my first AI-created Anime series. The name of my anime is Kuro & Yuki. I won't spoil the story for you, but it begins with these two boys locked up in what appears to be a highly secure institute/prison. Yuki has reached the age where he has awakened his power. While wandering the corridors of the institute, he meets Kuro, a boy with autism. It's a fleeting encounter as they end up being separated. As the story unfolds, you'll understand who they really are and why they are locked up. I don't plan on making episode 2 yet, even though I've grown attached to my characters' story. I'll continue the story only if a lot of people are interested and want to know what happens next. Otherwise, I'll explore other universes and styles of Anime 😉 Tools: - Epidemic Sound (For sound effects) - Vidu AI (to transform frames into animation) - ElevenLabs (for certain expressions) When I say Vidu 2.0 is a game-changer, I mean it. I had already made my animation with the previous version of Vidu, but when they gave me access to the beta, I urgently changed my plans and recreated all the animations. Let me tell you, it's a whole new level. My first animation was ultra frustrating to bring my ideas to life! Really! And since Vidu couldn't handle many image styles, I clearly couldn't bring my ideas to life. But with Vidu 2.0, I enjoy it much more! For the first time, I really get to bring my ideas to life! Until now, I always had to make compromises. Of course, Vidu is still not perfect, and there are still many obstacles, but it is a truly magnificent advancement! (and it surpasses all the Anime-style AIs I've tested recently) Moreover, Vidu 2.0 is fantastic for special effects, but also for embedding elements into the video (like a hand that appears and interacts with the character, or another character; and the best part is that they perfectly match the style of the original images!) * The animations/images and voices are AI-generated * The SoundDesign is traditional and done by me * The story was entirely written by me (I don't use AI to create my stories, it's important to me to write them myself) The voices were generated thanks to Nijivoice (for secondary characters) and Hailuo Audio (for main characters). I thank Yachimat (yachimat - AI Short Anime) for introducing me to Nijivoice, it's very generous of him! During the beta, we didn't consume credits, otherwise, this animation would have cost me around 20,000 credits, ha ha. Vidu 2.0, with its superb stability and fidelity to the style of images, offers brand new horizons for storytelling! One problem with Vidu 2.0 is that for now, you have to manually extend videos (by exporting the last frame). As you can see, this allowed me to create long scenes with different actions, and everything fits together perfectly! There are still many obstacles to storytelling, such as character consistency (I use the image to video function; I produce my images with Nijijourney) and it's always laborious to have a consistent character! The same goes for backgrounds. Here are the points I've identified that would facilitate storytelling: For Vidu: - Function to extend videos (you can already do this manually by exporting the last frame) - Function to invent the beginning or end of a video using a single frame (you can already do this manually by putting a completely white or completely black image as the first or last frame; this technique also allows you to have very dynamic results with Vidu 2.0! ) - It's difficult to obtain facial expressions for certain image styles (the same image style that the previous version couldn't handle at all). - More dynamism There's always room for improvement, but Vidu 2.0 has truly opened up exciting new possibilities for creative storytelling. ai aiart aianimation aianime ainews anime animenews aitools aitool

Again, the ME stated it could easily have resulted from falling onto an uneven, frozen surface. Lastly AJ, why do you stutter and hesitate when you claim the garage is now in the “same general location where John was last seen going into the house?” Before the first trial, you insisted John was led down to the basement and that Colin was the likely perpetrator. Were you forced to change your version of the story when confronted with the data from John’s iPhone battery temperature? Your client claimed she saw him enter the house, specifying it was through the side breezeway door. You do realize there’s absolutely no connection from the inside of the house to the garage, right? So now your ridiculous tale suggests that this was a meticulously planned attack orchestrated by none other than Brian, Brian, and Chloe the dog, all lying in wait in a dark, freezing garage like some sort of cartoonish villain squad? My primary broker for trading is Kotak Neo. My secondary broker was Zerodha. But since their brokerage charges are quite high, I landed on IIFL as a secondary broker. IIFL has an excellent pricing model and a RM for all kinds of service requests, which felt like a compelling proposition. But it's barely been 3 months, and I will advise everyone against doing what I did. While Algo trading has worked fine, any kind of discretionary trading has been a horrible experience ! I've faced numerous glitches on both their Web and Mobile platforms, atleast 3-4 times, and there is absolutely zero accountability on resolution and explanation of those glitches. On top of that, their UI is one of the worst amongst all the brokers I've ever worked with. On 7 July Nifty weekly expiry day, I wasn't able to exit my positions for a few minutes after 3pm (refer video). Thankfully, they were OTM strikes and I was able to exit using the mobile platform. On sharing the issue with the RM, he just responded he's escalated the issue to the technical team and they will resolve/contact me. Almost 3 weeks later, nobody has contacted me even once or shared any root cause analysis of the issue with me. Then 23-24 July, the platform had a different type of glitch where the UI response was pathetically slow. If you clicked on Add/Exit (Buy/Sell) the order window took an insane 5-10 seconds just to open. On top of that, clicking on a specific strike was opening up the order window of a different strike. So I thought to try the mobile app, and that wasn't working either. Though the platform started working again after sometime, the issue was persisting intermittently throughout the 2 days. On contacting the RM, he again gave the usual response of escalating to technical team. The whole day passed, no acknowledgment of the issue, no resolution, no accountability. On a side note, I was able to recover any losses by close. I also asked my RM, if they'll waive off the brokerage charges of that day, because of the horrendous experience - and he said no can't do that. For 1500-2000, I won't waste my time to complain to SEBI but it should tell you about IIFL's thinking around customer experience. Absolutely pathetic service from a so called "full service broker". Before shifting to IIFL, I had spoken to a couple of people as well specifically to ask about "glitches on their platform" and they all said they've never really experienced it in 7-8 years beyond maybe 1-2 times.
