This fire chief in Austin refused to pre-deploy the rescue swimmers. His own Austin Fire Association, the union, came out and said they were going to hold a vote of no confidence. The firefighters of Austin voted 93 to 7. No confidence in their fire chief. He refused to deploy the very rescue swimmers who could have saved the lives of those little girls.
