Cattle producers by mandate, have been paying into the Beef Checkoff Program for 40 years. A total of somewhere around $3 billion dollars paid to the National Cattlemen’s Association, now know as the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. In that time the US population as increased but the number of cattle have decreased by about 14% and we’ve lost half of our cattle operations. Also, in that same time period the beef packer cartel has grown to control 85% of the beef purchased in the store. What have you been up to since 1986 NCBA National Cattlemen's Beef Association ? Thought you were getting paid to help the American Rancher? #beef #groundbeef #ranching
