Afghanistan, 2013. A routine U.S. patrol comes under Taliban fire and immediately responds with disciplined, coordinated fire. A grenade launcher and an M240 lay down sustained suppressive fire as teammates keep the machine gun fed and provide cover for others moving into position. At one point, a round impacts the wall just inches from the M240 gunner.

Commandos 2: Men of Courage was released in 2001 by Pyro Studios and Eidos Interactive. Like its prequel (Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines), it lets you control a squad of elite soldiers fighting Nazi Germany and Japan between the years 1941 and 1944. Each of the nine commandos has unique skills, such as the Green Beret’s knife fighting, the Sniper’s precision shots, or the Sapper’s explosives. It was up to you how and when to use them to complete the missions. It still has some of the most beautiful graphics I have ever seen in an RTS from that era, with incredible environmental detail. Speaking of incredible - Commandos 2 was also incredibly tough. One mistake could alert everyone, and all hell would break loose. A very unforgiving game.
