@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW First of all, models all the way down. Second, we see the motivation: "what's the worst case scenario". Why not: "what's the evidence that this is happening in the real world?" Obvious flaw: if the current bringing warm water to Antarctica slows, melt will slow, not accelerate.

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW Please. Stop. This. Is. Foolish.

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW Congratulations on a terrific interview!! It is always a pleasure to watch @ProfMattEngland and this story is incredibly important. I was also blown away by the quality of the questions and the thread of the interview! Good on you @holmescnn

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW Bravo Matt! Great work and great #scicomm.

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW Great interview Matt - very clear!

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW When do we flip back to warning about the forthcoming ice age and acid rain like back in the 1970s and 1980s?

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW Come on, what’s next? I’ve taken my Covid tree down, my Ukraine decorations are in the loft with them. I’ve got my transgender fairy lights up and climate change garlands hanging from the chandeliers. I need something new, how about alien invasion decorations to replace them 🤷🏻♂️

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW What a pile of mindless BS! Does anyone in his right mind think something like that is actually measurable?

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW If we don’t do something the whole world will be submerged like the Maldives were in 2018.

@holmescnn @ProfMattEngland @UNSW That is brilliantly clear science communication. Good interviewing too, giving the space & clarity needed. Please can we have you in the UK!
