This morning, they drove along the Pacific Coast Highway to join up with their task force, and passed through some of the hardest hit areas of the fire. Structures gone, in some places, only foundations or chimneys marking where they once stood. There are 5,123 personnel assigned to the Palisades Fire, which, at last report- was at 14% containment and 23,713 acres. Firefighters are expecting the next couple of days to be tough- there's a Red Flag Warning out for the area until 6pm on Wednesday.
