This can occur naturally when water levels are high inland and even a small stream is created. It’s also done to control water levels. Lots of fun to surf / boogie board but it can be dangerous which is why the cops showed up when it got too big.

I did stuff like this so much growing up, still do when I can get away with it. But this is really top tier stuff. The stuff that dreams are made of. I'm jealous. Now I want to go to the beach and dig. I'm 39.
