back in 2022 i found a bug that would let me, with no user interaction, turn any chromium-based browser into a permanent js botnet member in edge, you wouldn't even notice anything out-of-place, and would stay connected to the c2 even after closing the browser

Did you ever wonder who invented browser tabs? 🤔🌐 Turns out it was a little browser called InternetWorks by BookLink Technologies! BookLink was later acquired by AOL. I tracked down version 70(!) of InternetWorks and got it running on Windows 95. The default home page is delightfully "90s web design", and it came with a bunch of recommended web sites to visit. This was before CSS, but the browser actually allowed you to change the style of each individual HTML tag. I tested this feature in the video and even ran into a bug (changing H1 to a font with different metrics keeps using the old metrics until you reload the page!) 😅
