It has finally happened - my first video guide on how to create electromagnetic openEMS simulations with Blender 🔶 is now available! This video guide will show you to first create geometries and specify ports in #blender3d , export them to openEMS, write a few python scripts, and then using geometry nodes to visualise and animate the results back in Blender. Weight painting lips and eyelids has always been a major pain when it comes to character rigging, so our co-founder Vladimir Mokhov spent a couple of weeks and made a tool to automate the entire thing. 🔶 This will be included as part of a toolkit for our upcoming Ultimate Character Rigging course (in Blender) at TOAnimate 4️⃣ The tool uses 4 points on a loop (corners and upper/lower mid points) and breaks it into quadrants, then distributes weights evenly along the points within the quadrants based on the step count, calculating distance between the points. This makes sure that every point is weighted identically and consistently. The weight generation/distribution is done through geometry nodes, and the rest is with python scripting. Hyperion is a very heavy asset, because of this, we built a LOD system into the rig to enable animators to work fluidly with the character at the different stages of production. You don't always need to work with the highest quality version of your asset, especially at the earlier stages of a shot/production. Having LODs allows animators to work more efficiently by choosing the level of detail they want to work with directly in the rig. Let's build the next character for the team! I’m continuing to test the modular character setup in UEFN using the Metahuman Component. Works really well with custom NPCs! For this new character, I'm back to a fresh 3D workflow using AssetHub . Still aiming for that flat/ anime style so I can go straight to the Tripo P1 model and get the low poly textured meshes to work with. Assembling and rigging are done in Blender. Again making a shape key for the eyes blinking. Because I'm going to use the same bone structure, I can re-use some Control Rig systems like the hair and eyes procedural animations. The character has 35K triangles and each accessory is about 2.5K.

New update on combining FastHenry and Blender 🔶 , I've added the ability to calculate the mutual inductance between objects! Also developed a basic UI inside Blender to visualise the results and to highlight the inductively coupled objects. This video shows some examples of what can be donw now. First demo shows how you can model the impedance of die bond wires and the coupling to adjacent wires, you make adjustments to their lengths and curvatures and see the results in near-real-time. How to Safely Remove a Tree Leaning on a House Roof. Good job done right. When a massive tree falls and wedges itself directly against a roofline, you can't just start hacking away blindly. One wrong cut can send thousands of pounds crashing down, destroying the structure. Here is how to systematically dismantle a high-stress leaners using a secure rigging setup. Step 1: Assess and Rig for Tension Before a chainsaw ever starts up, you must counter the gravity pulling the tree into the house. Identify a sturdy, healthy anchor tree nearby. Run a heavy-duty rigging line and pulley system from the high point of the fallen tree back to your anchor. Tension the lines to absorb the weight so the tree is suspended rather than resting entirely on the shingles. Step 2: Clear the Shingle-Side Limbs With the main weight supported, start by removing the smaller branches directly contacting the roof. Make precise relief cuts on smaller limbs to prevent binding. Work carefully from the roof surface, clearing debris immediately to keep a clear, slip-free footing. Step 3: Section the Upper Trunk Never try to take the whole trunk down at once. It must be chunked down piece by piece. Secure a dynamic rigging strap tightly around the segment you intend to cut. Make a clean top-cut while a ground crew member mans the lowering line. Once severed, let the rigging system catch the weight, suspend it mid-air, and smoothly swing or lower it away from the building. Step 4: Work Your Way Down the Main Stem Repeat the sectioning process, gradually moving down toward the root ball. Keep communication tight with your ground crew to ensure they are clear of the drop zone. Let the tensioned ropes do the heavy lifting, keeping the trunk controlled and preventing it from rolling or twisting onto the house. Step 5: The Final Drop Once the trunk is short enough and no longer poses a threat to the roof structure, release the rigging lines or make a final directional cut to safely drop the remaining base log flat to the ground. ⚠️ Safety Notice: Tree work under structural tension is incredibly unpredictable. Always wear proper PPE, use certified rigging gear, and ensure your ground crew knows how to operate the lines safely!

I first met little Tommy about 10 months ago… 🌴 He was about 2 months old in the jungle with no mum or siblings 🦠 He disappeared for 3 days with parvo and we thought he’d died. 🦴 He then had his leg / hip broken and hid himself away. Only a local lady was able to show me where he’d hidden 👩‍⚕️ We got his operation and rehabbed him for 6 months 🏡 Decided he couldn’t go back on the streets as he would die ✈️ Last week he flew to his forever him in England. He took it all in his stride. Travel, weather, new family. No problem for Tommy. Rehoming a few street dogs won’t solve the overall problem like I hope to do. But people always ask me how I get over all the hard losses etc. The answer is seeing the photos and videos of dogs like Tommy in the last 30 seconds of this video and the looks on his new mums face. Absolutely priceless. 🥰🙏 Well done Tommy you did it

I can’t explain how much I’ve appreciated the opportunity to give the people a little taste of a Zara set. I’m speechless at the amount of praise I’ve been getting over these past few weeks from your wonderful fans and online. With that being said, it’s been strange seeing some people putting us against each other when we’re just two pop girls who love and support each other back stage! Not only are you insanely talented, something we all can tell from seeing you on stage every night, but you have an incredible team around you. The dancers, band, crew, team, drivers, and tech have been a joy to be around and I always feel like that says a lot about how a person works. You set the bar. You set the standard. You are a super star. Just know, I will always have your back! Thank you for this experience!!!

Guys, in the last week, I've heard of 3 of my friends get "#vbridger" on their rigs and it's like, not rly vbridger?? u_u I understand that other riggers do not charge as much as I do for it. It's not easy to rig - but some transparency of what you're actually rigging would be kind to your clients! I want to pls request that if ur offering vbridger - but you only actually rig a restricted amount of the parameters - to state that in ur comm page! My friends have been given rigs where they had paid for "vbridger" and then they use the rigs and they're just utterly disappointed that their mouth doesn't seem to look or function like vbridger. Either because only some vbridger parameters were rigged or they were not put in or calibrated into VTS for the client. Some have never even actually opened the vbridger app to make sure it works! They just rig it in l2d and call it good. VBridger adds like 5 new parameters to the default 2 required for mouth function (4 are shown in the video attached because Jaw Open kinda goes with Mouth Open). If you will not be adding all 5 of these new parameters on your paying client's rig, please be transparent either on your price list or in your comms. QnQ Clients!!: Learn what your vbridger mouth should look like too! Don't be angry at your rigger if maybe it doesn't look like what you expected, but at least make sure you have the parameters that are exclusive to vbridger included in your rig. Just do a nice safety check. The video is so clients can understand what vbridger includes, what the forms look like, and hopefully will know how to make the faces to test the models they get. I'm sorry to cause trouble and more work for riggers, but I do very much care about client transparency and if you feel what you're charging isn't enough to motivate you to rig all of vbridger or learn it, either raise your pricing or state transparency of it on your site! (Or just like, don't offer it maybe qq) #vts #vtubestudio #live2d

Guys, in the last week, I've heard of 3 of my friends get "#vbridger" on their rigs and it's like, not rly vbridger?? u_u I understand that other riggers do not charge as much as I do for it. It's not easy to rig - but some transparency of what you're actually rigging would be kind to your clients! I want to pls request that if ur offering vbridger - but you only actually rig a restricted amount of the parameters - to state that in ur comm page! My friends have been given rigs where they had paid for "vbridger" and then they use the rigs and they're just utterly disappointed that their mouth doesn't seem to look or function like vbridger. Either because only some vbridger parameters were rigged or they were not put in or calibrated into VTS for the client. Some have never even actually opened the vbridger app to make sure it works! They just rig it in l2d and call it good. VBridger adds like 5 new parameters to the default 2 required for mouth function (4 are shown in the video attached because Jaw Open kinda goes with Mouth Open). If you will not be adding all 5 of these new parameters on your paying client's rig, please be transparent either on your price list or in your comms. QnQ Clients!!: Learn what your vbridger mouth should look like too! Don't be angry at your rigger if maybe it doesn't look like what you expected, but at least make sure you have the parameters that are exclusive to vbridger included in your rig. Just do a nice safety check. The video is so clients can understand what vbridger includes, what the forms look like, and hopefully will know how to make the faces to test the models they get. I'm sorry to cause trouble and more work for riggers, but I do very much care about client transparency and if you feel what you're charging isn't enough to motivate you to rig all of vbridger or learn it, either raise your pricing or state transparency of it on your site!
