Everyone expects to be paid for the work they do. You studied the Constitution, became a lawyer, and earn a living through your profession. Now, if I accused you of “looting people in Babasaheb’s name,” what would you say? The Brahmin priest performed his duties and received whatever was offered to him in return, then went his way. But what have you done? What special education or qualification have you acquired? And if you have studied and are working on the basis of that education, don’t you also receive a salary or payment for your work? So why apply a different standard to someone else’s profession while considering your own earnings legitimate?
