We had this in the basement of our lecture hall in college. The stories the professor who ran it would tell about the things it punched through over the years...

Fun question: You see how the video pans over 100 degrees to follow the projectile. But this is high speed recording, so how do they track the projectile without losing focus and without moving the camera? Read the Q carefully, right answers get a like.

A little tidbit I picked up in my first vehicle-based shooting course years ago: When firing into a vehicle windshield from the outside, bullets tend to deflect downward because after it passes through the glass, the bottom edge of the projectile hits open air first due to the angle of the windshield. Air has less resistance than glass = bullet moves in that direction. The opposite is true when firing through a windshield from INSIDE the vehicle - bullets tend to deflect upward from your point of aim. Having said that, the amount of deflection varies widely based on projectile weight, velocity, and construction type. The more you know 🌈 ⭐
