We look forward to reading your leaflet and encourage you to promote it among the attendees. There is currently heavy repression in Pakistani-occupied Balochistan. Mahrang Baloch, the 32 yr old woman leader of their main human rights organisations, the BYC, has been arrested.

Many imperial powers collaborate in Pakistan's oppression of the Baloch and other peoples in Balochistan - including China, the US, and more indirectly the UK. This is a cause the UK labour movement take up.

Dr. Mahrang Baloch Mahrang Baloch is a true hero. As a Baloch human rights activist, she has fearlessly led the fight against unlawful enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings in #Balochistan. Despite facing threats and violence, she remains steadfast in her mission to secure justice and protect the rights of her people. Her unwavering commitment to peace and human rights makes her the most deserving candidate for the next Nobel Peace Prize!

Our National Legend ceremony this year highlights a very important, key – in fact fundamental – pillar of statehood. It highlights the truth – about us, our history, our fight. This truth is simple: Ukraine was, Ukraine is, Ukraine will be. One of the symbols of this is our National Legends. Those who create for people and bring glory to Ukraine for decades. Those who fought for Ukraine and our people long before its official revival. And all those who have shown their very best, their legendary qualities and virtues, during the full-scale war. All of you – through your work, talent, courage, and resilience that you have demonstrated all this time – you prove: Ukraine is always legendary. We thank you! We thank our warriors and all our people! Glory to Ukraine!

Masooma Baloch, the daughter of Janzaib Baloch who was abducted on 3rd May 2016 says: “It has been eleven long years since my father has been suffering in a torture cell, and we, his family, have been suffering alongside him. 10th December is observed as International Human Rights Day, but for the Baloch, it is a Day of Mourning, because every one of our fundamental rights is violated. This reality shows how we are treated as slaves in our own land. To break free from this slavery, we must resist. We must step out of our homes, sit on the roads, and raise our voices against state brutality for our leaders, for our people, and for every abducted Baloch.” She appeals: “I call on every Baloch: become the voice of yourself and of every missing person. If you choose silence, you choose slavery and oppression. If you want to come out of this, then stand up and speak out.” #InternationalHumanRightsDay #StopBalochGenocide

I am honored to receive the Front Line Defenders Award for Human Rights Defenders at Risk. It has been a painful and hard journey; however, receiving this recognition makes my resolve stronger. I will continue to raise my voice for the voiceless and dedicate this award to the resilient people of Balochistan. Their unwavering courage in the face of all forms of suppression and human rights violations inspires me every day. This award is a testament to their strength and determination, and together, we will persist in our fight for justice. Front Line Defenders

We presented our demands to the state to end the Baloch genocide and stop human rights violations in Balochistan. We gave a seven-day ultimatum, which will be completed tomorrow. Throughout these seven days, no state representative has approached us, nor has the state shown any responsibility for this serious issue. Instead, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has threatened victims' families and peaceful protestors, and Islamabad police are harassing us every day. In response to the state's irresponsible behavior, we call for a shutdown strike tomorrow across Pakistan. We appeal to the business community and people throughout Pakistan to support our struggle. As we appeal to the international community to be our voice around the world against human rights violations in Balochistan, we need your voice. #MarchAgainstBalochGenocide #StopBalochGenocide

I would like to bring to your attention the continued human rights abuses being carried out by state forces in Balochistan. In March, I submitted a video statement for the 58th Session of the Human Rights Council, which is now available on UN Web TV: Despite international attention, including statements by UN Special Rapporteurs, the Pakistani state continues its campaign of oppression against the Baloch people. Our peaceful struggle for justice and human rights has been met with increased brutality. Today, more than 200 of our fellow activists, including prominent leaders such as Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Shahji Baloch, and Beebarg Baloch, are being held in illegal detention. We urge all international human rights organizations and the global community to continue raising their voices against these grave injustices. The lives of human rights defenders in Balochistan are at severe risk. Your solidarity and advocacy are vital in the struggle to uphold human dignity and justice for the Baloch people.
