Banks in Jamaica needs to do better

I agree with 100%. The banking customer experience in JA needs a complete overhaul and is ripe for tech disruption that improves efficiency. The US banks have already written the playbook on investing in technology to improve efficiency. It’s time for JA banks to follow suit.

It's what people have come to accept, and now it’s so normalized that they’re numb to it. If I hadn’t traveled myself, I might have thought it was just the way things are. Sad😭

I been wanting to open a bank account in Jamaica for years…it’s HARD! The requirements…

When you tell your boss or employees you are going to the bank, they know it's an all day affair so they do not expect you back. If you come back in two hours they celebrate.

The banks charge more and give us less service. Banks only care about profits and politicians are not interested in even setting minimum standards of service. Was in Jamaica couple weeks ago.. it's next to touture..as up to now the transaction I started still not completed.

Jamaican banks are the worst because we do not have regulations here that protects customers and Banks don't treat its customers as consumer of a product it they treat us as if we're begging them to offer our service while it is that they keep our money and make millions

Bless your heart Sister Michelle. We feel your pain. This is banking in Jamaica. Always has been so & will remain so till God come! Going to the bank in Jamaica is not an errand to run and then go do something else. It is instead a full day endeavour. Pack lunch and bring a book!
