The famine continues in Gaza with most people unable to afford the food available in the markets, donate: The military occupation is only allowing staples like cooking oil, rice, lentils and flour, limiting nutritious ingredients. People can’t live on rice and flour only for this long. On August 20th the Sameer Project team distributed 104 packages in Asaad Camp in Deir El Balah. Each package cost around $68 with 11% commission so total was $7,072. Packages included cheese, cooking oil, rice, thyme, sugar and a can of beans. It brings us no joy to distribute these packages because Palestinians in Gaza néed SO much more. But this is what’s available and we need to do what we can, meanwhile we urge the international community to disrupt and take action for more nutritious food and medication to get in. I’ve been friends with @nakiridayo_ for quite some time now. As many of you may know, Naki has been fighting cancer—and through it all, he continues to hold on to hope… believing that miracles can still happen. I commissioned this Aki-chan artwork from him during a time when his health was already declining. Sadly, he had to be hospitalized before he could finish it. Nvidia has just announced Alpamayo 2 Super, an open 34 billion parameter reasoning vision-language-action model designed to accelerate the development of autonomous vehicles. This new model combines the NVIDIA Cosmos 3 Super reasoning model with a 2 billion parameter diffusion-based action expert model, and is post trained with reinforcement learning. The model can return multiple outputs: future trajectory plans, reasoning traces, grounded answers to questions about the scenes, and auto label generation. The model weights are now available for anyone to download on Hugging Face, and the inference code has been posted to GitHub. Distilled models can be deployed commercially without any further permission from Nvidia, and model outputs carry no license conditions. Automakers can distill down a compact version of this model that can run on the Nvidia computer in the car. Major kudos to Nvidia and Jensen Huang for advancing the state of the industry by releasing this as an open model with permissive licensing. Jensen isn't just paying lip service to the idea of open models, Nvidia is actually contributing to the ecosystem — and it's great for their business, because it helps sell more Thor computers that go in the car. I’m with my soldiers and am truly grateful to have so many of you supporting us in the comments. Not only are these packages morale boosters but ice breakers. I am a woman and from #Canada so it’s not always easy to get new soldiers to open up but by the time we got into the blindage I had a line of soldiers waiting to be treated. Every soldier got medical care and some relief but now I have a list of needed items from tools and power stations to braces for knees and elbows. Tomorrow even more new soldiers will arrive and this list will continue to grow. I know there are a lot of fundraisers but I can only speak for my battalion Alcatraz Battalion. When I joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine I made a decision to stop pulling myself in every direction and focus my energy. One frontline, one brigade and in turn helping all the soldiers that fight along side us. A unit can be outfitted but if the battalion is without, their combat effectiveness is impacted. If one blindage has power and comms and the next along the trench line is without, their combat effectiveness is impacted. In 2024 I spoke in the Netherlands about strategically placing aid along the 0 line and this is exactly what I meant. I need your help more than ever to turn these lists into equipment and supplies.
