I just switched from the Pixel 9 to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and I use my phone for most things now v/s reaching for my laptop

I've seen many foldables in the wild. I am heavy Android user. I don't see the appeal of foldables. What's the benefit? Downsides are clear: it's thicker when folded, more unwieldy when unfolded, requires this extra "unfold" movement.

For the first three days, I thought I'd end up regretting switching to a smaller iPhone, but no, now I'm enjoying a lighter, more comfortable phone. And for a bigger screen, there's always an iPad, a foldable Android, or AR glasses.

Even though the OnePlus 15R has a way bigger battery, the iPhone 17 uses less battery per hour on average: iPhone 17: 163 mAh used per hour OnePlus 15R: 181 mAh used per hour iPhone 17 is more efficient in terms of battery drain per hour of use. But the point is, OnePlus 15R is slim too, and no one stopped Apple from using a bigger battery. If a slim Android phone can pack 7400mAh, Apple choosing 3692mAh is a design decision, not a limitation.

And the interesting thing was I never made appointments or anything. I just dropped in. But they felt a fellow from Omaha who looked like me couldn't be too harmful... so they they'd always see me. And I would and ask them a lot of questions, but two questions I would ask them were: One, if they had to put all of their money into any coal company except their own and go away for 10 years and couldn't change it, which one would it be and why? And after I got an answer to that, I would ask, if they had to sell short an equivalent amount of money in one coal company, which would it be and why? And if I went around and talked to everybody in the coal business about that, I would know more about the coal companies from an economic standpoint than any one of those managers probably would. So, I think there's lots of ways to learn about business."

I saw the Huawei Pura X Max in person, and I actually like this form factor. I usually use my foldable phones for productivity (typing, photo editing, etc.) more than content consumption. But with this form factor, it is more suitable for content consumption, like watching movies or YouTube videos, for example. And I also love how compact it is compared to other book-style foldable phones. Now I'm also excited about the upcoming iPhone Fold and Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide if they have a similar form factor as this Huawei phone. If it had already been available to buy before my flight home, I would've bought this phone already.
