Today, the pre-medical interns who were denied deployment by government have filed a case against the Attorney general and DGHS Ministry of Health- Uganda in Kampala high court to challenge the decision against which these qualifying medical graduates were excluded. There is indeed no doubt that this decision was illogical, unfair and reckless. Our prayer is that the judges Judiciary Uganda review this decision and order for immediate deployment of all medical interns. Note that medical internship is key for full licensure as well as career advancement. Undeployment of medical interns puts our career at a standstill. #DeployAllMedicalInterns #PaidMedicalInternship

#KigonduAt50 #InternHostels In a powerful speech at the 50th birthday celebrations of Dr Simon Kigondu President Kenya Medical Association Prof Ruth Nduati, a professor of paediatrics at the University of Nairobi College of Health Sciences, has highlighted the sacrifices made by the founding fathers of the country in starting medical training in Kenya. She highlighted the role of Petro Kigondu my great grandfather from Lancaster to detention to UON Medical School starting. Prof Ruth Nduati has challenged Kenya Medical Association & KMPDU to see how to assist the medical interns, who are currently being mistreated by government. She suggested that some money be set aside by the union to construct interns' hostels in all internship hospitals in the country, so that interns can do their internship in dignified housing. The challenge is on Wisdom indeed does come with age and experience!

I agree, Intern doctors should be ranked above DEI Pharma, Atiak Sugar, Lubowa, and Inspire Coffee – which have and continue to consume billions. While those other are (unnecessary) promises for the future, intern doctors are presently real in the lives of ordinary Ugandans. As has been said plenty of times, it is not uncommon to find a public medical facility manned entirely by interns. Their labor cannot to be for free. In fact, interns is the language of exploitation. These are actual doctors – only new in the field. Thanks Dr Obuku (Ekwaro A. Obuku)

Stuttering and round about answering the question when he was interviewed on an LDS Podcast. The last thing he was asked was "Is there any truth to any of this?" Bowyer's initial response: "So there is (there is some truth?)....so, so straight off the bat" Notice he was not asked if he is BISEXUAL and doesn't answer that. He just says he isn't "gay" and eventually says "that never happened."

Interns are being forced to eat from the hostel mess even though the food quality is so bad that students have suffered colonic edema, intestinal perforation, vomiting and diarrhoea Many had shifted to an FSSAI approved tiffin service due to poor mess hygiene and irregular duty hours. But on 19 June, when the tiffin provider came, the vice principal seized the food and the principal grabbed the provider by the collar and started shouting When the interns went to talk, they were blamed for not intervening during the scuffle. The principal then issued a 2 day hostel eviction notice to the entire intern batch and threatened to withhold their June stipend. This is not just harassment. It is a complete misuse of authority These are MBBS doctors in their mandatory internship, not hostages.

I think that’s the number one ingredient.” As for the second ingredient, Keith tells a story he heard from some friends at SpaceX where Elon observed a line of interns piling up around the coffee machine. This prompted Elon to send a memo to the company asking: “Why are all the interns wasting all this time?
