Sorry, nope. It was Dewey & the foundation of the education establishment’s goal to make them “productive.” Mainly as factory drones. The one goal alone should be to teach them to THINK. This involves the teaching of communication (reading & writing), computation, and reasoning. Productivity will be a natural byproduct.

One thing you'll notice listening to women talk about divorce is it's always about them, not about their children. Divorce is harder on kids than the death of a parent. "What if I was wasting my time" - years later your kids will be dealing with the consequences of you "not wasting time." Statistically it's more likely they'll be doing that from prison (if dad's not in the picture - and so many women fight for that to be the case). If we had more people fighting to make a good home for their children instead of living their best life society would be a lot better than it is.

Why is the government reducing penalties for child abusers? The writing is clearly on the wall. They're slowly legalizing child sexual abuse right in front of you, and no one seems to be doing a damn thing about it.
