He's correct

The good pastor is mixing humor with some truth. However I wouldn’t go as far as he is. Every race that one way or another arrived in America contributed something of value to our society. While African blacks certainly contributed their share of back breaking labor, they provided talented entertainers, athletes, artists, musicians, poets, and politicians. Yes there numbers aren’t very well represented in those skills that required an education, like science, math, engineering, etc, but we all know why they aren’t. In time they will recover in these areas too. Yet the pastor is right about the white man having built America. The reason though lies more in the demographics of those early years, and the fact that black labor was mostly concentrated in Southern agriculture. Much like my Father, I don’t particularly care for any race, but tend to like individuals a great deal.
