What's the secret to not getting the welding stick stuck. Because I've never not had to fight the welding stick the few times I've dabbled in stick welding.

I hate Stick Welding, because I suck at it 😆

The main art to learn with welding is the first year you always wear proper pants and shoes and make fun of welders who do not do the same. Then the next 20 years your hopping around the shop because sparks get in your socks because your wearing shorts, but its damn hot in Ga.

Ok, but you used like 3 sticks on this weld, the first one would have been like 1 or 2.

Exactly! ⚡ MIG welding is surprisingly approachable — a few hours to get the basics down, and then it’s all about steady practice to perfect your technique. 🔧🔥

dude's got a massive amount of undercut going on and that dishing at the end would never pass inspection. Points for the pattern being pretty even and consistent, but not that impressive tbh

This would be one of the first weld joints taught to a new welder. It’s called a corner joint. He or she is using cellulose SMAW electrodes. Welding looks easy when demonstrated by a skilled professional, & the real money is made by highly skilled pipe welders. 🍻👨🏻‍🏭👩🏽‍🏭🧑🏻‍🏭
