Basically, my hottest take on the MonsterVerse is that it would be more interesting if Godzilla wasn't treated like a tool for fan fulfillment. If he had to struggle, had consequences, & could lose, as we see in the 2014 film. Not be a tool to validate fan power scaling

Even the MechaG fight is strange. Fans argue Godzilla only lost because he was tired. That's not interesting. Godzilla should lose because other monsters fight differently than him making it hard. KOTM onward, Godzilla is too powerful and it deflates the tension constantly.

I'm just sayin, Godzilla 2014 lowkey was getting his ass kicked by the male MUTO alone and had to use pure skill to beat him. 0% chance Godzilla post KOTM struggles with both MUTOs at once and no longer needs skill. He's only power, which isn't as dynamic.

It's a really short moment, but I always liked how in GxK implies that Skar King and his army could've only been defeated by Godzilla because he used the enviroment in his favor, it wasn't about sheer power, but how he was smart enough to use the circumstances he was in to win

I prefer the idea that Godzilla is the most powerful monster on Earth and it takes the real heavy’s, like Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, and Destoroyah, to really hurt him. He’s the king. The apex predator of the kaiju.

I think thats why I like kong more

I always looked at 2014 as more of a literal human perspective film. Or at the very least, Godzilla was just groggy. I’m happy with what we got, but I agree that it would be cool to see a 2014 style Kong fight.

Or maybe and get this Kong is just that much weaker than Godzilla while the MUTOs aren't and Godzilla got stronger as well it ain't just to validate fan powerscaling

Don't get pressed about Kong or start projecting. I'm not talking about Kong specifically. I'm talking about how poorly written Godzilla's powerset and abilities are in the MonsterVerse overall in ALL movies and fights post-2014.
