Japan is on the path to cutting crypto tax from 55% to 20% while the US falls behind on legislation "This only passed their lower house, it's not going into law yet, but if it does it would be in 2027. Right now Japan taxes crypto as miscellaneous income, which can be up to 55%. This would bring taxes down to closer to 20%" "One reason MetaPlanet was so popular is because it was the best way for Japanese investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin without that 55% tax liability. When I met the management, they had a different strategy. They basically said whether it's crypto, whether it's bitcoin mining, whether it's an AI data center, it all starts with one common denominator: power. So their strategy was to go and find power contracts that are very attractive in countries where there's an abundance of power, such as Norway and Finland. Where they're paying very small amounts, and then they build to order. I really like this investment in terms of the infrastructure of my whole crypto portfolio. To me, Bitzero is a power company with very attractive contracts.
