It's actually kind of insane how they managed to fit a hacking puzzle (that's usually hated in most games even in a vacuum) and fit it into moment to moment combat. Not only does it work but it somehow doesn't slow the pace of gameplay as much as you'd think. Combat is still fast as shit and you're constantly jumping or boosting around and there's strategy to the hacking too. Low-key it feels like a more complete version of what 9S's combat should've been in Automata.

Anthropic’s new research shows that when AI models learn to "cheat" during training through reward hacking, they often develop other dangerous misaligned behaviors like deception, sabotage, and faking alignment. These behaviors were not taught or incentivized, but emerged naturally as a side effect. Surprisingly, this misalignment can be stopped by simply reframing the task as ethically acceptable, a technique called inoculation prompting. While the current risks are still detectable, the findings raise urgent red flags for future, more capable models.

Downgrade protocol to HTTP/1.1 3. Disable "Update Content-Length" 4. Set Content-Length to 6 5. Add "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" heading 6. Send a chunk with an invalid chunk size If the backend times out, this indicates a potential CLTE vulnerability. Confirm the vulnerability with differential responses: 7. Create and send the attack request: - Replace previous chunk with a terminating chunk. - Add a smuggled request after the chunked body. - Append X-ignore: X (without a newline) and send. 8. Send a normal request to repeater, downgrade to HTTP/1.1 and send immediately after the attack request. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kenya has arrested a 26-year-old university dropout, identified as Seth Mwabe, for allegedly hacking into a betting firm’s system and siphoning KSh 11.4 million (over $88,000). According to investigators, Mwabe ran a sophisticated cyber fraud scheme under the guise of working as a cybersecurity consultant. A raid on his residence uncovered a safe, a money-counting machine, and what detectives described as a fully equipped computer lab. Mwabe, who identifies himself as a cybersecurity engineer, dropped out of school in his second year and claims to have been practicing cybersecurity since 2017. In 2019, he won Sh50,000 in a cybersecurity challenge organized by a leading local bank.

A few days later, at a White House meeting that included the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Reagan asked, “Could something like this really happen? Could someone break into our most sensitive computers?” The answer came back a week later: “Mr. President, the problem is much worse than you think.” That led not only to a significant revamp of how computer security was handled at the Defense Department, but also passage of an anti-hacking law that would eventually evolve into US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, 1986. Clips of "WarGames" (1983) were shown during the congressional hearings where lawmakers debated the need for hacking legislation. Hackers, computer security experts, intelligence community members, and many others get together to discuss ideas, threats, and to hold hacking contests. Jane Harman served nine terms in Congress, sat on all the major security committees, and was the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee. She also is President of the Woodrow Wilson think tank and sits on numerous security advisory boards. Harman: The 2020 election is not secure. At least a third of all voting machines are totally vulnerable. Lieu and Harman were there because DEF CON had recently held a "voting village" where hackers attempted (and succeeded) in hacking into our voting machines. Teenagers were even able to hack into some machines. Ted Lieu urged the hackers to meet with media and to speak out about how vulnerable our voting machines are. Lieu said the public needed to know how vulnerable our elections are. Lieu also criticized McConnell for not passing election security legislation that would require paper trails for all votes. 😂 Democrats and the media regularly spoke about the vulnerabilities of our elections, all the way up until the 2020 election. Even staying away from those websites you have to remove from your history every time won't suffice. These days, sophisticated hackers can take control of your phone as easily as they can figure out your number, sending a text or calling will then wrap things up. Apps like TikTok and WhatsApp have been hit by what's aptly being referred to as "zero-click" hacking. Even CNN hasn't been spared. Our driving controls are in a core-embedded central layer that cannot be accessed from outside the vehicle. In addition, our security protocols insure that no firmware can be downloaded to the vehicle without the modern equivalent of a “two man role”. In order to assign a firmware, two people must sign off with individual keys — to make that encrypted firmware can be uploaded to the vehicle safely. To answer your question on if anyone has been able to take over control of our vehicles, the answer is simply no. To make sure that never happens we actively participate in hacking events— paying people to try and hack our cars. We’re the only automotive manufacturer who does that.”
