Batter mocks umpire after ridiculous ejection, a breakdown

You know the Yankees are down bad when Jomboy is tweeting out a college baseball breakdown 5 minutes after a yankee game

@JomboyMedia this probably wouldnt have been an issue if hes looking at his dugout but hes literally staring right at the batter taunting him

For perspective, the pitcher that got ejected blew a 4 run lead 2 days earlier and was pumped to get them back. That’s why he screamed towards the dugout. Screaming and just looking over at the dugout doesn’t warrant ejection and subsequently a 4 game suspension

Umpires don’t make the rules, coaches do that. It is the umpires job to enforce rules. And yes, they have been instructed about zero tolerance for taunting.

A pitcher, who had a previous rough outing in the same series, gets fired up for striking someone out with bases loaded. Gets ejected and suspended 4 games. Yet, this is the same league and nothing:

Maybe players wouldn't resort to this level of mockery if league officials could bother to hold their power hungry umpires accountable but nah that's the equivalent of advanced calculus I guess

Ejection was justified. Gotta teach these kids the value of respecting the game and the opponent.
