How do you notch a FOX 3 in War Thunder? The simple answer is: Fly sideways. That's not a joke if you don't know this. Turn 90 degrees and place the Radar or Missile contact on your RWR on the 3 or 9 o'clock position, dump chaff, and either gain or lose altitude, until the missile or contact stops beeping. Radar and Radar missiles have what is known as a "Notch" filter. This filter is primarily to filter out the ground from the radar display or sensor. Because if a missile is moving at 1,000m/s, what is also approaching the missile at 1,000m/s? Often times it's the ground. However, this can cause the missile or radar to also filter out slow moving targets as background clutter. If you plane is not moving directly towards or away from the missile or radar it will start to think you are part of the clutter and filter you out, missing you in the process. This is the simplest explanation of how a notch works and how to do it. FOX 3s are extremely hard to dodge like this at close range though, so you typically don't want to do that. As your options are either: "Dump chaff and pray" or "Shoot the missile down with another missile." Either can actually work in War Thunder, but are extremely unreliable. Note, almost all planes do not have an RWR sensor on the top and bottom of the fuselage, so make sure you fly level and point either wingtip at the target. This is what is known as "Beam aspect" to the target, but most people just say "notching" or "F Pull." See the video for a practical example against an AIM-54 Phoenix.

David Lean explains how one can learn Filmmaking by watching movies and what constitutes a good movie: "Interviewer: Do you believe that the same principles are involved in making a good amateur film as a good professional film? Interviewer: Then you believe that the amateur can learn something about film technique from watching good professional movies? David Lean: Certainly, if he watches them in the proper way. PREPARE TO DEFEND YOURSELF IN SOUTH AFRICA ‼️ A young man who picked up his workers along Stormvoëlweg in Pretoria was recently forced off the road by two minibus taxis, after which the drivers confronted him, allegedly because he was transporting people that, according to them, he is not allowed to do, as it is their job, what a load off bullshit ‼️ In the video, it can be seen how he is violently beaten and kicked and head butted not one person stop to assist this innocent man. What is happening in South Africa, people don’t want to get involved anymore or are to afraid of these black thugs in this case ? The victim is currently struggling to obtain a case number from the police. Reports from August 2025 claim some taxi associations are trying to enforce a ban on private vehicles transporting more than one passenger, forcing people to use taxis for all transportation. This black brutality against whites are becoming more common in South Africa. If you are not a registered weapon holder, buy yourself some Bear pepperspray on Takealot and use it wisely if necessary, go to a boxing club and learn how to defend yourself and get fit. She is correct that the man who can coolly, casually walk away from a girl if she rejects him often receives a major attraction boost in that girl’s eyes. Though interestingly her attempt to explain WHY women get that attraction boost is way off! Instead, what is really happening is she is observing that the man is: • Not needy • Not butt-hurt • Socially savvy • In a word, COOL ❄️ … and immediately her brain starts going, “Oh wait; is he NOT average? He didn’t react like how an average guy does. Average guys get mad, or sad, or pushy. He was totally unaffected and cool and just left. Wait, why did I not affect him? Does he not think I’m pretty enough? But I affect other guys! Why is HE not affected?” At that point, her certainty is shattered, she is thrown into confusion, and she’s become very curious about this man. Not that that’s especially helpful if you’re cold approaching during the daytime… you’ll probably never see her again. But if you just approached a girl you see regularly, Or you approached a girl in a social venue, party, or event you’ll be circulating around in for a bit, Or any other context where you are likely to encounter the same girl MORE than once, Then this ‘walk away effect’ can absolutely work to your advantage. You will even notice that when you again bump into girls you coolly walked away from early on, they are often a lot WARMER and MORE ENTHUSIASTIC… a big part of why was simply just how you handled the rejection. Women’s attraction is fluid. It is behavior-based. A guy being unaffected by a woman rejecting him is a MAJOR flex. Most guys can’t do it.
