Rocky had some of the worst test results I ever saw yesterday when I took him to the vets. To be honest I don't know how he was even still able to stand up. Not only does he have glaucoma in his eyes, he also has blood parasites, skin issues, and many of his organs are under pressure. The easy thing to do would be to give up like whoever abandoned Rocky did. Instead of ending his life scared and alone on that beach, he now has a chance and we had one of the most enjoyable Sundays ever. Of course he's not aggressive or wanting to bite. That was just his defense mechanisms yesterday. I was having a lot of trouble getting him moved around today because he was so terrified on the lead. But as soon as I figured out that he enjoyed being carried and as close as possible to human touch, everything changed. Myself and Rocky sat and he had smoked salmon, poached chicken, and lovely sliced ham. He absolutely devoured every single bite. I put a nice bandana on him and gave him lots of attention and just tried in general to make his Sunday as magical as possible. The coming days won't be easy. There's a high likelihood that he'll have some severe battles ahead and he may lose his eyes. But as I went to sleep last night, I just wished that I could get one day with Rocky and I was lucky enough to have that. Now myself and Rocky are greedy for a few more days and maybe even longer. Hoping for a miracle.

His name is Argos, and he belongs to Ulysses, the Greek hero also known as Odysseus. Before Ulysses sailed away to fight in the Trojan War, he had raised Argos from a puppy, a fast and beautiful hunting dog. Then the war called, and Ulysses left. He would not come home for twenty years. When Ulysses finally set foot on his own island again, he came in disguise, dressed as a beggar, so that no one would know him. Not the people who had known him all his life. But lying in the dirt by the gate, old and forgotten, covered in ticks, too weak to stand, was a dog. Argos had waited twenty years. And the moment he saw him, he knew. He was the only one. Nearly blind, half dead, he lifted his head and pricked up his ears, and he wagged his tail for the master he had never stopped waiting for. This is the best story EVER ❤️ Cam Booser is a pitcher who made his MLB Debut for the Boston Red Sox in April 2024. But this wasn’t any “ordinary” debut… Cam has had many ups and downs in his career, and at one point, he even retired from baseball to pursue a career as a carpenter in his father’s business. However, Cam missed baseball, and when he realized he could still throw a 98mph fastball, he unretired to pursue his baseball dream once again. At the age of 31, Cam’s dream finally came true as he made his MLB Debut. So of course, when Cam saw his 1/1 Debut Patch autograph card get pulled, he immediately reached out to the new owner to try to buy it. To Cam’s surprise, the owner refused to sell it to him, as the card had apparently already been sold to a new owner. Cam was initially disappointed, but little did he know that his OWN SISTER was the buyer, who planned to give him the card as a Christmas present. 🎁 And this moment, caught on camera, is when the big surprise was revealed!! ❤️

There were plenty of people who told me to put Rocky out of his misery. To let him go. It was cruel on him to keep him suffering. I even doubted my own decision to fight for his life at times. He just seemed so bad. The blood results and his general eyesight and functions were in such poor shape I worried I might be keeping him alive more out of false hope and for my own dreams. Luckily Rocky had other ideas too. He very much wanted to live and I could see the from day 1. His eyesight if partially back and improving by the day. His bloods are getting better. He is packing on the pounds. Most of all Rocky feels loved and safe and he has lots of dog and human friends now. He belongs. He sprinted into that water today and me and him forgot about all the hard days and the tough worrying nights. He really is a very very special dog ❤️

Sylvester Stallone on how Creed almost didn't happen: By 2006, Stallone thought he was finished with Rocky. He'd just wrapped Rocky Balboa, a film he had to fight to make in the first place. "It's tough when you say, hey, I got this great idea about a 60 year old boxer. It's really...3 this is the worst idea ever. But anyway, it got done." He continues: "I was very satisfied with the results. And that was 2006. And I thought, okay, this is my crowning accomplishment." Stallone describes waving goodbye to the audience, certain he was done with the character that had defined his career for three decades. Then eight years later, an unknown filmmaker came knocking with a pitch. "He goes, well, I'm an unknown filmmaker, I haven't made any movies yet. But I have this idea about bringing you back and this character, Apollo Creed. See, Apollo, you didn't know this, had an illegitimate son. So he's telling me the story and I go, very interesting." Stallone passed. The filmmaker (Ryan Coogler) went away and made Fruitvale Station with Michael B. Jordan, which swept awards at Cannes. Then he came back and pitched Stallone again. Sylvester Stallone on how Creed almost didn't happen: By 2006, Stallone thought he was finished with Rocky. He'd just wrapped Rocky Balboa, a film he had to fight to make in the first place. "It's tough when you say, hey, I got this great idea about a 60 year old boxer. It's really...3 this is the worst idea ever. But anyway, it got done." He continues: "I was very satisfied with the results. And that was 2006. And I thought, okay, this is my crowning accomplishment." Stallone describes waving goodbye to the audience, certain he was done with the character that had defined his career for three decades. In 1977, Sylvester Stallone explained why he wrote Rocky and how he convinced Hollywood to let an unknown actor play the lead. It was everything was anti-society, anti-Christ, anti-government, anti-everything. And there was no one to root for."
