'm very sorry for the loss of this family home and pray that they are safe! However, I will never understand why you would even want to live this close to the ocean when you know the dangers!

I dunno...maybe stop building enormous 2 story homes on sand bars. I'm no expert, you know...but it looks like a bad idea.

Even 25 years ago, this house had 10-20 homes between it and the ocean… Back in 1972 it had a 12-foot tall dune line protecting it until about 15 years ago! #ClimateAction #IPCCReport

THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR YEARS & YEARS UP & DOWN THE OUTER BANKS. I MYSELF HAS SEEN HOMES ONE TIME OR ANOTHER WASH AWAY. SEE A MAP & WHY BEACH EROSION OCCUR. THEY HAD NOT BEEN PUTTING SAND BACK TO BUILD THE BEACH BACK. PLEASE DON'T THINK FAKE CLIMATE CHANGE. IT IS NATURE!

Waiting on the drama queens to start blaming Man Made Global BS...

Houses like that shouldn’t be built so near the ocean for this very reason.

I got this through a Yahoo article. Of course it claimed the house was lost because of climate change. It had nothing to do with a hurricane and a house being built on the waters edge.

Depending on which party you align with, this was either "out of the blue, unexpected, a hoax" or "yeah, we saw this coming, and tried to warn people, it will be worse as we aren't achieving changes that needed to occur to alleviate...(cut off)" "FAKE NEWS"
