Arab nationalism is the biggest failure of any type of ethnic nationalism in modern history. All the Baathists have been crushed/neutralized, and whats left is shameful states controlled by jews(Egypt, Jordan,Syria).

The Turks themselves preferred the British over the mughals. Shamelessly supported them when the 1857 war of independence was going on in south Asia against the British.

The late Ottomans started Turkish nationalism, didn't treat Arabs as same as Turks so to combat that the Arabs started Arab nationalism. Both made mistake. The late turks and Arabs. Both are responsible for the misery.
