I'm skeptical of cooking steak in a plastic bag. Seems like you're adding toxins?

Yikes with that plastic bag! -take ribeye out of fridge -season with whatever you like -place cast iron pan in oven and heat to 450 -heat stove element to medium -take pan out at 450 and sear steak on element 3 mins -flip and add aromatics (garlic, thyme, etc) -in oven for 4-5 mins -reduce stove element to medium/low -remove from oven, add butter, insert thermometer, and baste until 120f -stand for 5 mins perfection every single time.

I don’t think you should be heating up a plastic bag over 100 degrees lol that can’t be good for you. It’s most definitely leeching into the steak

Step one: remove steak from fridge Step two: turn on traeger Step three: cook steak on traeger to desired temp Step four: put steak on plate, cut, and remark about how amazing it is.

How do you justify the micro-plastics from the Ziplock bags?

Cooking with plastic is not healthy

Sous vide is now my go-to way to cook steak, as well as chicken. I learned about it from @eatmostlyfatali Great way to target the desired internal temp with the water bath and then quickly sear the surface. Consistently spectacular taste and easy 😋 @AlpacaAurelius @KetoCarnivore

You can get the bighorn infrared propane grill a lot cheaper. I've been using this for over a year with good results.

I'd be worried about cooking in plastic, Plastic nanoparticles (PNPs).

What kind of grill did you say you were using? I would love one that gets to 1000 degrees or higher. Thanks!
