The president refused to step down as he slurred his way through the press conference however he did exceed expectations. My takeaways: Biden did better than expected which is good news for Republicans. Biden truly feels like he has done a phenomenal job as president, meaning forcing him to step down will be difficult. Here's the second beat I made on the Akai MPC Sample. Let me know what you think below. I've realized that this machine has forced me to get straight to the point and not procrastinate. I've realized that using a program like Ableton (where there is infinite hard drive space and capability), I often sample things with no intention of using them until later. And while having a hard drive full of samples feels good--nothing feels better than making a beat with a sample that you just found right there on the spot. I'm getting back to that now. So I've decided to keep the MPC Sample in my bedroom, on the desk that's right next to my bed. This is how I was making music from 1999-2005, but over the years I had forgotten how much of a difference it makes to keep your tools close to you. I'm still learning how to freak this machine, but will keep y'all posted on my progress with it. Thinking of putting some beatmaking videos on youtube. Would any of y'all be interested? ChatGPT is going to DECIMATE the interior and exterior design profession. I posted a video of the prompt below for a project that cost me under $200 and 20 hours of work (free labor). I wanted to turn my deck landing into something useful. Currently it was just a convenient place to hide a bunch of outdoor tools, compost bins and other garbage, but it was very unsightly. It gets a good amount of sunlight so I thought it would be a good spot for training climbers (cucumbers, peas, pumpkins etc). The one thing I didn’t prompt ChatGPT was for a materials and tools list to do the job even though I knew exactly what I needed. I spent $35 in raised bed soil (4 bags (1.5cu ft ea) of organic raised bed soil, 2 bags of compost and cow manure, $13 on a stone chisel, and $135 on stone, $7 on concrete and $2 on a treated post. I used cedar boards that were essentially free that I’ve collected over the years. All in cost roughly $200. Took me maybe 15-20 hours of work total from ripping boards to leveling the stone. It’s about 95% done, still need to sand and finish the boards with food grade oil (probably use butcher block beeswax) and cut a few more of the stones to get them perfect. The bed measures about 8 feet across and 16” wide. Planted a few cucumber varieties that should sprout next week. Will probably accompany it with some dill, basil, and some flowers. Next step is to find a way to train the climbers. Need to come up with a clever idea to support the weight of the cukes but also want it to look nice and also avoid drilling into the cedar if possible. Open to ideas. I’ll update pics throughout the year to see how it turns out. In summary: Use ChatGPT to give you free outside landscape designs instantly. It’s extremely impressive. You can just build things (with HOA permission—I didn’t ask 🤫)

One day I’ll tell you all about how one of our clients bought us the building next door to the one we’ve moved into and the title deed is in Duma Collective ‘s name. I’ll speak on all the favour God has really shown me 😭❤️🥹 But today’s post is about how we hosted our team Christmas dinner in that new building 🥹❤️ we’ve been renovating it and it’s still not done, but the team were able to make it look like something. We reflected on everyone’s highlight of the year and i was crying so much at all the testimonials… some have bought cars, others have cleared their debts, others have improved their mental health, others are paying for siblings school fees, someone who hasn’t been working for yeaaars finally has a job and and and!!!!! We celebrated with the good people JC Le Roux 🥂 and we thank them for honoring our invite ❤️🌻❤️ It was magical spending quality time with these quality people. Now, everyone gets to work from home until we close for a short break 🌟 🎥 📸 RTC STUDIOS❤️

Blades Brown turned 19 just last week and as an incredible birthday present he shot rounds of 66, 68, 65 and 67 to finish T14 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and secure enough non member Fed Ex Cup points for special temporary PGA Tour membership. After the round he spoke about his future, how vindicated he feels in his decision to turn pro instead of going to college, and how the Korn Ferry Tour aided his development: “I mean, good golf takes care of everything. The Korn Ferry Tour is awesome. For me, what it's done for me is it's provided me a pathway to the PGA Tour. “The cool thing that I think it's done is it's taught me to go low. I can't thank the Korn Ferry Tour enough for teaching me those valuable lessons because everybody out on the PGA Tour, they can go low. Look at Wyndham, look at Scottie, look at Si Woo. 28-under, 27-under is not joke. This man is literally holding up so many cars in the line right now. He was trying to get two extra cups of ice with his order when their ice machine is having problems. The restaurant denied it saying they have to conserve ice and he could get one for free but had to order another drink to get another cup of ice which he refused to do. I think the manager handled it very well, I don’t think he overstepped anything, the customer was being difficult while pretending to be calm yet barking ridiculous demands. When the manager asked to speak to him up front, I think that the customer should have done that instead of holding up their line. I can’t imagine being so entitled that I can’t understand that I am being told no and for good reason. I always bring up the pizza shop I worked at in college because I used to get the craziest demands and reactions by some of the most entitled customers I’ve ever served. I remembered a customer throwing his food at me because he claimed his meat lovers pizza didn’t have enough meat on it, but then proceeded to demand I remake it. I had to tell him no, I was slammed during a dinner rush. I’m not going to entertain any body who feels it’s ok to assault a worker, he’s lucky I didn’t call the police.

This man is literally holding up so many cars in the line right now. He was trying to get two extra cups of ice with his order when their ice machine is having problems. The restaurant denied it saying they have to conserve ice and he could get one for free but had to order another drink to get another cup of ice which he refused to do. I think the manager handled it very well, I don’t think he overstepped anything, the customer was being difficult while pretending to be calm yet barking ridiculous demands. When the manager asked to speak to him up front, I think that the customer should have done that instead of holding up their line. I can’t imagine being so entitled that I can’t understand that I am being told no and for good reason. Lucas has a good interview with Matt Stone, who said he gave up on new TV shows because streaming economics “distort the art”. Stone’s view helps explain 30-70% viewership drop-off for Netflix shows between S1 and S2. Streaming shows are created at volume and not every episode can maintains the quality bar. This causes problem because one of the key metrics for streamers is “completion rate” (% of people who finish a show they started). Low completion rates lead to shows getting cancelled. This is why so many with devoted fan bases get scrapped after 1 or 2 seasons. Viewers enter shows not knowing how many seasons they will get. When execs decide to renew, it often takes 2-3 years between new seasons. Even when a show gets multiple seasons, the median viewer then bounces after a bad episode…which then lowers completion rate…which leads to eventual cancellation…which conditions viewer to expect streaming shows to all eventually crap the bed and/or leave narrative arcs hanging (if they get cancelled). Stone did watch a few streaming show but always caught a dud episode and “it feels like your wasting my time, it’s a betrayal.” Add in Netflix’s binge mode style — without the traditional weekly audience can talk about the show cadence — and it’s hard for viewers to truly invest their attention. Also, shows that do get a 2nd season have the marketing energy split with the conveyor belt of brand new shows Netflix is always cranking out. “The butter and bread equation has gotten screwed up in the 2010s,” Stone says. “There’s this much butter in the world but we’re going to make [a lot more] bread.
