He is now being raised by the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust In this video, little Bumpy walks into his room, where a mattress has been laid on the floor for him. We especially admire Olomunyak’s style; we can always rely on him to bring some undignified theatre to proceedings! *Bumpy is our newest arrival, a tiny hippo making a very big impression. Our newest rescue, Arthi, is finding his footing at our Nursery. He was found all alone in the Tsavo wilderness, frightened and unsure. But this uncertain little bull who arrived in August has been replaced by a friendly, outgoing elephant who has really bonded with his Keepers. It’s the little signs that show he’s truly settled - from trumpeting for his milk, to taking the lead on walks, and joining in playful games of peekaboo. As we post this update, Nina’s keeper is feeding her and she is being comforted by him. She is lying in a comfortable resting position and is snacking on cucumbers. Nina, who has gone through inexpressible horrors all her life, has been amazingly forgiving to humans, and has developed a strong emotional bond with her keeper in a very short time. Our team is at her side day and night to assist whenever she needs them. Our team understands the gravity of the situation and is doing the best to provide Nina with the best medical care. We are overwhelmed with the love and support pouring in from all over the world for Nina. Thank you again for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.

Another tiny angel has joined our nursery… Willi, a fragile baby donkey who lost his mother far too soon. Last night he cried until his little voice broke — searching for the warmth, the safety, the love that was suddenly taken from him. Today he went from mother to mother, hoping someone would give him milk… and my heart shattered watching him try to understand a world that has been so cruel to him. But his suffering ends here. No hunger. No beatings. No overloads. No torture like his mother faced. His life will not end the way hers did. He will grow up surrounded by gentleness, soft hands, full stomachs, and a family that will never abandon him. We are doing everything we can to help him settle, to show him that he is safe now — forever. ❤️ 🔗 Please follow and share — it helps us care for the little ones already in our nursery and the many still waiting for rescue.
