Some people forget what happened in the mid 80's. Mad cow decease. Corporations started selling beef at a lower price. Small cattle ranchers ended selling out to Corporations.Start importanting beef and the mad cow decease will come back.Something needs to be done. Not China!

This is worse than just bringing in beef from other countries. Ground beef is more likely to become contaminated.

Just don’t eat beef! Eat plants! I haven’t had red meat in years‼️ and I’ve never felt better! If he’s doing this to get votes, he should have sent us that tariff money to us, and not to the Large Corporations, that already get tax breaks! Sam Sslton really needs more money!

Farm Action’s Joe Maxwell just went to Washington and sounded the alarm: America’s ranchers are in “CRISIS.” “We cannot afford a food supply where foreign beef fills the gap while American ranchers go out of business.” And he named the first step that the Trump Administration can take to reverse this crisis: “Reinstating Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling for beef and pork must be a top U.S. priority in the 2026 USMCA review.” “This is urgent regarding our food security, the survival of independent ranchers, and the long-term stability of North America’s beef supply.” “USDA reports that the U.S. beef cow herd has fallen to its smallest level in over 70 years.” “Ranchers tell us the same thing across the country. They cannot justify rebuilding their herds because the market does not reward U.S. origin.” “Tyson just closed a beef plant in Lexington, Nebraska, and is scaling back a plant in Amarillo, Texas.” “These moves impact 4,900 jobs.” “At the same time, beef imports are rising to record levels, over 4.5 million pounds last year.” “That combination—a shrinking domestic herd and rising imports—is a dangerous trajectory for America’s food security and rural economy.” “Reinstating MCOOL would give ranchers the most important thing they lack today: a reliable and forceful market signal that U.S.-raised beef will be recognized and rewarded.” “Reinstating MCOOL would allow consumers to choose U.S.-raised beef and ensure that choice benefits U.S. ranchers, give producers the confidence to reinvest in multi-year herd expansion, strengthen rural economies by keeping food dollars local, and build a more resilient domestic supply.” “The United States cannot afford a cattle industry at its smallest level in 70 years.” “MCOOL is essential for rebuilding the herd, restoring fairness, and protecting our food security.”

Tyson closed a beef manufacturing plant in Lexington, Nebraska, this year. “6% of the nation’s beef came out of that plant.” “And Tyson just closed it.” “Putting 3,500 Nebraskans out of jobs.” Bookmark this. Nebraska Senate candidate Dan Osborn just sounded the alarm. Tyson’s plant closure in Lexington reveals the damage that corporate monopolization in our food industry can do to rural America. “There are four meatpackers that have formed a monopoly.” “They work with the other ones.” “They target plants that are going to close down to manipulate… what they pay, from the producers all the way to what we pay at the grocery store.” “And this beef deal adds to the already problematic crisis of a thinning herd.” “We got to break up the meatpackers to create an environment that has competition.” We have been warning that President Trump’s beef import policy is a bad deal for both American ranchers and consumers. Flooding our market with imported beef undercuts domestic ranchers, many of whom are already struggling to keep their operations alive. And it is not meaningfully reducing prices for consumers. The only ones who benefit from this policy are multinational corporations, like JBS, who pocket all of the profits. We published a seven-point plan backed by ranchers, not corporations, to meaningfully reduce beef prices, restore our domestic cattle herd, and save ranchers. Read it below and send it to your members of Congress:🧵 Dan Osborn Brian Tyler Cohen

THE WAR ON BEEF with Cattle Rancher Shad Sullivan | Going Rogue with Lara Logan | Ep 97 Shad Sullivan is a Texas-based 5th generation cattle rancher and Chief of the Property Rights Division at Ranchers Action Cattlemen's Legal Fund. He explains the deepening crisis in America's beef industry, exploring how four major meatpackers control 85% of the market, squeezing ranchers while raising consumer prices. The conversation covers controversial beef imports, the elimination of country-of-origin labeling, regulatory burdens, and globalist threats to food sovereignty. Sullivan emphasizes that protecting ranchers' property rights and restoring market competition are essential to preserving American food security and rural freedom. 00:00:00 Meatpacker Monopolies Are Strangling American Ranchers 00:01:26 The Four Companies That Control 85% of Your Beef 00:08:50 75-Year Low: How We Destroyed the American Cattle Herd 00:16:31 The Retail Conspiracy: Walmart, Costco and the Price Gouging Exposed 00:23:12 Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling: The Lie on Every Package 00:31:16 Sustainable Development Is a Lie: The Globalist War on Beef 00:38:32 NGOs, World Wildlife Fund and the Quiet Takeover of Ranch Land 00:44:47 Monsanto, GMO Seeds and the End of Food Independence 00:51:03 One World Government, Rewilding and the Communist Blueprint for Your Land 01:07:26 Screw Worm, Cartel Cattle and the Border Crisis Threatening Your Food Supply 01:17:57 What Trump and Brooke Rollins Are Actually Doing to Fight Back 01:22:29 Brody, Bill and Sean: A Cowboy Poem About Freedom and Sacrifice Shad Sullivan | Going Rogue with Lara Logan

ONE IN FIVE MALE STEERS IS PRODUCING MILK. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO AMERICA’S CATTLE? America’s cattle herd is at a 75-year low. Beef prices are near record highs. Family farms are disappearing, while a flesh-eating screwworm threat, tick-borne red-meat allergies, and alarming findings in cattle are putting even more pressure on the food supply. President Trump says the U.S. will import more Argentine beef to lower prices. But as American ranchers try to rebuild, nearly 30,000 pounds of imported Argentine beef were just recalled in Florida and Texas after entering the country without the required U.S. import reinspection. The screwworm crisis has restricted Mexican cattle imports, tightening supply at the worst possible moment. Meanwhile, the CDC estimates up to 450,000 Americans may have alpha-gal syndrome, a serious tick-borne allergy that can make red meat dangerous to eat. Researchers have now examined more than 20,000 finished cattle from 33 feedlots and found lactation in nearly 20% of dairy-cross steers and roughly 15% of native steers. These castrated male cattle were producing milk containing fat, protein, and lactose. The study did not identify a cause, though researchers pointed to excess body fat and estrogen as one possible factor. Others are asking whether hormonal growth implants could be involved. America has the smallest cattle herd in generations, soaring beef prices, a parasite threat at the southern border, and a growing red-meat allergy problem. Washington’s solution is more foreign beef, even as American ranchers and American cattle disappear. Mollie Engelhart breaks it down.

THE BEEF DEBATE IS MISSING THE POINT. Trump’s 90-day beef plan isn’t supposed to solve America’s cattle crisis. It’s a bridge. And yes—American cattlemen have a legitimate concern: cheaper imports can pressure cattle prices and potentially weaken incentives to rebuild the herd. That deserves to be heard. But so does this: CATTLE AREN’T WIDGETS. Rebuilding the herd requires ✔️retaining heifers ✔️breeding ✔️gestation ✔️calving ✔️raising and ✔️Finishing the next generation. That takes YEARS—not weeks. Meanwhile, American families are paying painful hamburger prices TODAY. Trump’s objective: 1) SHORT-TERM consumer relief. 2) LONG-TERM American cattle recovery. Reasonable people can debate whether this 90-day policy gets the balance exactly right. Some are raising sincere economic concerns. Others smelled an outrage cycle, saw the algorithm rewarding attacks, and jumped aboard. Clicks aren’t policy. Outrage isn’t analysis. And a viral post isn’t a cattle herd. Trump’s plan doesn’t replace the American rancher. 1) It's intended to give consumers some short-term breathing room 2) While American cattlemen undertake the multi-year work of rebuilding what only time can rebuild. Protect the rancher. Help the consumer. Rebuild American beef. Can we do all three? I know we can. Believe it. For the Republic! Cheers.
