Been really enjoying Showdown lately so decided to make a little deck profile of the deck I've been playing: Protector Gambler. For those who don't know, Showdown is a card game that blends poker with TCGs to create one of the most unique gameplays I've seen (and I played...

Q: It must be complicated, when I listen to you, to have a private life, somebody to understand your passion and to share this moment. Lewis: "It really is, especially I would say more so today than ever before, which is the way the world is, you know. I look at the other drivers and I wonder how they're doing it. You know, some are having kids and some married, some, you know, most of them girlfriends. I did that when I was in my 20s, but I took a decision to really to maximize my time that I have here because it's not as long as you think and it's limited, you know. And I don't want to look back and be like, ah, if I just gave a little bit more here, I didn't sacrifice my time because I was committed elsewhere." "So I really focused in these last, you know, particularly these last 10 years, like get everything I can out of my performance. Then when I retire, then I can do whatever I want. You know, I can dedicate my time to whatever else it is and not have to worry." "But in this competition time, focus on health, well-being, my mental health, my driving technique, being as good an engineer as I can be, and also being the best teammate that I can potentially be for the guys that I get to work with. That's my sole focus. You know, I want to win." "I've been fortunate enough to win with great teams in the past. Particularly, obviously, with Mercedes and with McLaren, which was incredible. And my dream is to win a championship with Ferrari." "And that's something that hasn't been done for a while. But they have absolutely every ingredient that's needed to win. It's just like getting all the pieces of the puzzle in the right place. And that's what I'm trying to work on in the background with Fred and the whole team." [📹 VIGNERON GAETAN]

I've seen a lot of comments about this so I'll address it here. I will talk about it more in detail in tomorrows YT video. Context: Deciding 3rd game of a #NHL24WC qualifier playoff series. I enter the zone with 4 minutes to go in game which is a bit over minute in real time. I know Lauri Enström is playing protect net collapsing like he has the whole series. Like I always do in tournament games with this little time on the clock I start circling and killing time, seeing if Sopuli overcommits or something opens up, like I always do at the end of tournament games when I'm leading. Around a minute left in game I get full pressure on and at this stage I know the game is basically over cause Sopuli can't change his players to be more aggressive mid cycle and your players are dead during full pressure (and it lasts 30 seconds in real time). What makes this clip stand out is the 5-1 in front of his net with 30 or so seconds remaining 😅 But again why would I need to try to score here explaining everything I just did? I would just give Sopuli a free change to tie the game. With full pressure added I personally play with aggressive own zone strategies just to avoid stuff like this in 24, of course you can still try to rag the pressure on with how the AI is but it's way harder at least. I'm not saying it's nice or fun or whatever, and I totally get if people don't like it, but I would do the same thing every single time in an important tournament game.

I solved building decks with AI agents — by giving them a CLI tool like Powerpoint or Google Slides. AI could already make a beautiful deck if you asked it to using Ant's pptx skill. The problem was working with it. If it made one alignment mistake, fixing it on one slide would break something on another, and it became a game of whack-a-mole. One time I spent two days playing AI roulette, hoping the next prompt would finally fix the thing, and ended up building the whole deck by hand because I was on a deadline. So I built Hands-on Deck. And the reason it works is that this isn't just a skill — this is PowerPoint. The actual application: PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, whatever you use. This is that, but for an agent, presented as a CLI. Every gesture you make in a deck app maps to a command. Click a box and type, drag a shape from here to there, look at a slide – agent can do it all in a command. And that changes how the agent behaves. With this CLI it works and thinks like a designer — it looks, makes an edit, looks again, makes another surgical edit. Compare that to Anthropic's pptx skill, built on the idea that Claude is a great programmer: it literally writes code to manipulate the deck, hand-editing XML and hoping it doesn't break anything else in the middle. The real test isn't creating something once — it's whether it can make surgical edits like you want. That's what I did in this video walkthrough and my claude crushed it! Check it out for yourself. So decks can be built like a designer now — with real flavor and taste. If you spend hours every week on decks, this gives those hours back. You can install it as a skill in Claude Code, Codex, whatever you use. Works every harness that supports skills. Let me know if you make something cool with it.

Full conference interview by Yuki Ishikawa, back to Japan (2/2) -Normally, after the end of the national team season, Ishikawa returns to Italy and plays in the Italian league, but this year he'll be back in Japan next month, this time wearing the club's uniform and competing in front of Japanese fans. With that in mind, how committed will you be to improving yourself this time? Yuki: I'll return to Italy first to get back in shape. Since I'm leaving early this time, I have some time, so I think I'll be in good shape. I think I'll be able to show a different side of myself than I do with the national team, so first of all, since my national team season is over, I'll prepare hard for my experience with Perugia in Italy. -This tournament isn't just for Japan, but also for Brazil, who lost to Serbia today. It seems like there were a lot of surprises in this tournament. What do you feel while playing? Yuki: It's different than usual and it's about the power of the world. This time, Bulgaria beat Germany and Slovenia, Belgium beat Italy, Serbia beat Brazil, and Finland beat France. -What do you mean? Yuki: I think the rankings are just numbers. On the other hand, why do lower-ranked teams win? Personally, I think it's the same for Finland, Bulgaria, Belgium, and I think it's the same for Serbia, but when you look at overseas teams, like Italy, Poland, and Portugal, they're mostly made up of players who are active in Poland and Italy. I have the feeling that the matches are in the preparation stage, so I think the players who play abroad, and especially the key players among them, really show their strength when the national teams of each country meet to play. For Turkey, Mandiraci, who played well in our match, plays for Piacenza, and his opponent, Lagumdžija, plays for Lube. Looking at these, you can see that there are many players who have steadily improved their skills abroad. The players who compete abroad are very strong, and I had the feeling they were the cornerstone of the team. -So, what's the big difference? Yuki: In Italy, players of different nationalities compete, and in Poland, players of different nationalities compete too. So, if you look at it from that perspective, well, at this stage it's just me and Otsuka, so I feel like there's a slight difference. -Looking back at the WCH results, what do you think were the determining factors? Yuki: As for the matches we lost, I think we weren't able to play our style of volleyball. As for not being able to play well, I think, in practice and in the freshmen matches, there were many things that didn't go well, and for that reason there were concerns, and I think we weren't able to give our best. Also, I think mental preparation is necessary to play well in important matches like these, and I think that's the most important thing, both for the team and for individuals. I think I haven't reached that point yet, yes. -You mentioned some concerns, but what was your biggest concern? Y: Even though we won two matches against Bulgaria, in terms of content, it wasn't a very good match in some ways. I wouldn't say we played 100% as usual, and against Italy we played a good match, but I wouldn't say we played 100% of our volleyball. So, I think from that point on, we lost sight of what we needed to do. -Miyaura was a starter, and I think you've played a lot this season, but what kind of season has it been for you? Yuki: As for this WCH, I was really disappointed with the result, and as for my performance, it's not that I'm disappointed, but I felt like I wasn't able to give my best. I have no choice but to look forward, so I think I need to build on this experience. I played every VNL match, and there were some things that went well, so I'll use them to boost my confidence. As for the things I didn't do well, or the areas that need improvement, I'd like to continue improving next season in preparation for the national team.

This happens all the time! This is why I feel like I'm not worth myself! This is why I feel like I cant grow! This is twitch actively nerfing my account every time I go live! The audience didn't leave they were still in the chat! When I asked twitch for help, I got an automated incomplete response that said "everything looks" . I am so tired of fighting this and have pleaded with twitch, Daniel Clancy and have told the VP FACE TO FACE about this issue and still nothing has been done! Why? I'm small potatoes no one cares and no one will even put an iota of time into solving this issue! This has been a constant every day for over 2 years and I cannot express how defeated I absolutely feel every time I press start to immediately have my audience ignored by twitch. I know some of you are going to say its not all about the numbers and if you enjoy it, it shouldn't matter. Unfortunately the ultimate truth is we are heavily judged on our CPM by everyone, potential partners, sponsors, collaborative opportunities and even by twitch themselves. So yes, it does matter. It matters a lot and worst part is no one, will take this issue seriously! I have literally 120 days of information from twitches 9th longest subathon (unrecognized of course as again small potatoes) that would absolutely show this being a consistent issue. I don't know what to do, I am at wits end here and I every time I see this happen to me I just want to curl up into a ball and let the world wash over me. I need help, i need someone to look at this, because I have dedicated my life to entertaining individuals and I do this full time, I dedicate 8 hours a day every day for the past 2 years to this company and the only thing I get is ignored. I know this is a lot and it looks like just some random person complaining, but I need some way to get this in the right hands and not the automated jarble that I've been getting. Its even been acknowledged in the past by a tech for twitch that something might be up. Again, I know I'm not big but were all working under the same logo and should all be taken care of equally! Bam Adebayo GOES IN on the critics that says his 83 point game performance is unethical: "For the couch coaches, I mean, if you're in my shoes and you have, first of all, y'all are blaming me. You should be blaming the head coach. Get that first. I was not the one letting me go one-on-one the whole game until I had 70, and then you started to send a double. At that point, I got 70 with, like, what? nine minutes left to go in the game you think i'm not going for it like like and that's the thing that's crazy when they talk about the unethical part of the basketball i'm like if i have 70 points with 9 minutes to go Who would just be like, you know, coach, just take me out. Yeah, right. Anybody in my shoes with nine minutes left? Okay. A minute? All right. Nine? Yeah, I'm going for it. You can't be mad at that. If you are mad, I don't care because a lot of people, they're upset because if they did play, they never had a chance to get that close to chasing greatness. And then if you get that close to chasing greatness, that's the point of chasing it so you can surpass it. And some of the people have never played basketball. So like if you've been in the backyard and you and a couple of your homies have been playing 21 and you got 19. You're not going to get an easy look off. And four, they're going to talk about the free throws. It's not like I shoot 15 free throws a game. It's not like I average 10 free throws a game. You can watch the film. I was legitimately getting fouled every time. So I went to the free throw line."
