I found this octopus-like model and added it to the game. I textured it, gave it a spinning animation, and made it spew black smoke, much like squid ink, to obscure the player's vision during its attack. Let me know your thoughts on how it looks. #gamedev #indiegame #unity3d

Was getting annoyed with my cumbersome process for making icons for objects my game, so I made a nifty icon generator tool in unity. Spent 2 weeks on it, so not sure it was worth it... but at least it looks nice haha #indiedev #gamedev #madewithunity

For optimization, I don't want to simulate water in a steady state (e.g. this lake), but a flat water surface is boring. So I made the vertex shader add random periodic offsets based on vertex pos hash and it seems to do the trick 🥰 #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames
