That isn’t a design flaw, L and R were the only things GameCube controllers had, so of course they’d make L and R…well L and R

I’m not sure why everyone is having a hard time understanding this but the GCN controller was designed to be used for the GCN games. It’s not actively designed and treated as case by case basis support to work on other games which is why you’re seeing this issue…

Tbf Nintendo did give the disclaimer that this controller was made only for GameCube NSO. Now I’ve been using it a bunch in Mario kart world and it’s absolutely amazing for it. Just be aware of the games you play with it.
