China's net exports only account for 18% of GDP, and the net exports to U.S. only contribute 2% to China's GDP. China's domestic comsumption only make up to 40% of GDP, and there's still a lot of room to grow. China can easily neutalize the negative impacts from Trump's tariffs.

The loss to sellers is a far bigger concern. 15% of Chinese exports go to US. This will reduce to some degree causing a downturn in revenue.

Dude..come on simple research... The US can get it from Vietnam..Thailand..Indonesia..etc..but the issue is that there are tariffs from those countries as well..well now Vietnam is going to make a deal..let's see how that works out

Xi wants to show the Chinese people that China can withstand the economic pain from Trump’s tariffs and what Beijing is calling Americas “bullying”. Trump's trade war also feeds into the strategy that Xi has been working on for years: become less reliant on the United States. But this is going to be painful for BOTH countries. Last year, the US imported more than $400 billion worth of goods from China – everything from electronics, cell phones, to toys, furniture, clothing and more.
