It's time for the US to learn that you don't mess with China.

Out of total Chinese exports U.S. may be 15%. But out of China GDP exports to the U.S. is less then 3%.

More important point is who takes the pain. If products in both countries jump, the alternatives determine that. Chinese alternatives to US products are cheaper. American alternatives (if its not American then US deficit jumps even more) are more expensive.

Let’s not pretend this is just about tariffs—you opened with a threat of war disguised as a trade post. “Who will make it to the end?” isn’t economic policy—it’s the language of confrontation. China’s not “fighting back”—it’s flailing. Weaponizing rare earths and slapping tariffs on U.S. goods while daring the world to pick sides only exposes how fragile your grip really is. This isn’t strategy. It’s coercion dressed up as nationalism. We don’t need to match your threats—we just need to remind you: the free world doesn’t take orders from regimes afraid of open markets, open speech, or open elections. Careful who you challenge. We’ve seen how authoritarian games end.

China dates back thousands of years, and in thousands of years it will still be here. The US dates back a couple of centuries only, and its doubtful if it will be here a century from now.
