If you look at the original Amazon business plan, there was no hint of anything other than books in it… I wanted to build an online bookstore, and that was it.” But the online bookstore worked better than they thought it would. So Amazon launched music, and that worked better than they thought. Then video, and that worked too. So Jeff sent an email to customers: “I picked about 1,000 customers and I said, besides the things we sell today - books, music, and video - what would you like to see us sell? And the list came back incredibly long-tailed… So it’s been kind of one foot in front of the other.” As Jeff explains, Amazon expands into new businesses in two ways: “One is from a customer need. We will work from a customer need to the skills that we need. And the other one is skills forward: from a skillset we have to a new set of customers.” Kindle is an example of a customer need - Amazon had no hardware team at the time, but to make sure they didn’t miss the transition to ebooks, they built one. This is not fair Andy Jassy cc Jeff Bezos Amazon is charging my company money to answer customer questions and then directing our customers to inferior competitor products who have paid Amazon. We never signed up for Rufus ads. The customer is already on the Amazon page for Brain Flakes. We may have even already paid for an ad for them to get there. And then Amazon shows them an ad designed to answer questions that are already answered by us directly on the page they are on? And then Amazon sends them to another “brand” which is advertising on our product page. Look, I get it. Amazon is a big company with lots of people, lots of teams, and lots of AI, but you can’t keep doing this. You have to rethink your approach. The more you squeeze sellers, the higher prices will go on Amazon, because we don’t have the margins that you do (or the access to capital). This combined with Amazon’s market share and pricing policies mean that when you force us to raise prices by raising our costs, pricing across the entire ecommerce ecosystem rise. In other words, all Americans pay more when shopping online. You need to rethink these policies and the endless backdoor price increases. Thank you

This is Whitney Webb explaining the Israeli AI that they call the Gospel. It eliminates targets based on conditions harvested from the data they collected on the Palestinians. This is what they are trying to build here in America if we don't stop it. They need the surveillance first, so we need to destroy it. It isn't for your safety. These are the new weapons Bibi mentioned. They won't have to do anything. Just automate it and unleash the fleets of drones. It will start out innocent, with things like Walmart and Amazon delivery drones, but will be turned on the people once we relax again. I am pretty sure! This is what I have warned about.

Eric says the biggest mistake investors made in cloud was undersizing the market, and everyone is doing it again with AI: "In 2014, a really common narrative was AWS is going to eat everything. There's no enterprise opportunity left. Think about 2014 to now. You have Snowflake, direct competitor to Amazon Redshift, ran on Amazon. You're out-Amazoning Amazon on Amazon. Confluent and Elastic and Mongo, Databricks. Then you have the whole app layer. Datadog, $100 billion company. The view that AWS was gonna eat everything was massively wrong because Azure and GCP were irrelevant then. Fast-forward to 2026, you ended up with an oligopoly. Even outside of those big three, you have Cloudflare, which is another $100 billion company. The biggest mistake everybody made was they just undersized the market. The market was so big that one vendor could not scale and consume it all. That whole notion right now with what you and I are seeing in AI sure feels like it rhymes. The takeaway to me is "What if it all works?"

They had to turn off the pump because it was starting to impact the levees. None of it went to Southern California. But what Donald Trump did was flood the zone with disinformation and misinformation, celebrating as if he somehow solved the problems in Southern California—somehow equating it to fire hoses and fire suppression. And again, facts get in the way. Narrative matters. Illusion so often rules. The challenge we have—and you know this—is that they dominate right now by flooding the zone and weaponizing misinformation and disinformation. They do it with an asymmetry in communication capacity that we have to address. You are addressing it, and we have to own up to it. We’ve got to build that architecture so we can compete in this space. Because what you just said is not commonly known by the overwhelming majority of people who voted for Donald Trump—people who actually believe that water was sent to Southern California, even though we know that demonstrably was not the case.

Culture is genetic because behavior is genetic. This beaver never saw a dam in its life. No beavers or anything else ever taught it to build a dam. It wants to build a dam because it is a beaver. Many beavers together build a big dam. That is beaver culture. Humans are not different. Nothing is different. This is what life is. This is how life works. Your body is your mind. A caterpillar wants to build a chrysalis. A bee wants to build a hive. A lion wants to build a pride. You are not special. You are not above your nature. you are INSIDE of it. The thoughts that we think are genetic thoughts. The crimes we commit are genetic crimes. The art we create is genetic art. Just like this beaver, you can give the animal different sticks and it will build a different dam, but it will always build a dam. And you can give humans different "education," but the human will always use it to do what its genes tell it to do. This is the first big answer that you need. This is the biggest piece of the puzzle. This is how to understand people 90% of the way. You just... notice what they do, and get out of the way, and watch them do it. And if they need sticks, you give them sticks. And if you don't like what they do, you have to get away from them. You cannot train dam-building into them or out of them any more than you can with a beaver. A beaver wants to build a dam because it is a beaver. The young Captain was having a conversation with the pupils, and here is what he saying, “I was telling you a while ago, in school they were telling us that we couldn’t do it here. They lied to us. We grow wheat here, and it works well, and we will develop it. Some people have started, this year, I was able to see people who did it, as part of the presidential initiative, and I was told that in the past, some were able to do it and they produced it well. Currently, we are sowing wheat in some farmlands as part do the presidential initiative. What you eat must be produced here. So, this is why I say that we will teach you many things, and we will review the curricula they teach you. For those who drink coffee, they told us that your coffee, chocolate, it is only in the countries with abundant rainfalls, that here is only savanna, desert, it does not rain, we cannot farm. Again, they lied to us. It’s not true! Coffee grows well here, cocoa grows well too. There are people here who have the farms here, even in Ouagadougou here, there are people who have cocoa trees in their yards. This means that, chocolate that children envy those from well to do familes can be manufactured here in Burkina and all the children can eat chocolate in Burkina. We found out it is possible. Even with the soil, we were told that it’s ferralitic soil, that it is not fertile, everything is a lie. You see that today there is so much gold in Burkina. But it is just poorly managed. Our mission is to well manage these resources, and to take good care of you, so that you can be in your basic rights, to lead a good life, to go to school, and that we may protect you. You also have the Parkia biglobosa (also known as the African locust bean) which is a natural fruit. We have many things, it is not only the minerals in the soil. Even with the soil, we were told that it’s ferralitic soil, that it is not fertile, everything is a lie. You see that today there is so much gold in Burkina. But it is just poorly managed. Our mission is to well manage these resources, and to take good care of you, so that you can be in your basic rights, to lead a good life, to go to school, and that we may protect you. Here’s Saban on the Illusion of Choice: “These guys, they all think they have this illusion of choice. Like I can do whatever I want to do. “You have a younger generation now that doesn’t always get told no. They don’t get told this is exactly how you need to do it. So they have this illusion that they have all these choices. “But the fact of the matter is, if you want to be good you don’t really have a lot of choices. It takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful. “You have to make the choices and decisions to have the discipline and the focus to the process of what you need to do to accomplish your goals. “All these guys that think they have a lot of choices are sadly mistaken.
