We already have DriveU in India which basically does that same thing. Drivers get to your location at the specified time, pick your car and drive you home.

Thank you for highlighting this. DriveU has been solving this in India for 11 years. Live in 10 cities with 10M+ trips, our Don’t Drink & Drive use case is now 1 in 4 DriveU trips, helping lakhs get home safely in their own cars. We’d be honoured to have you experience DriveU.

@driveu_in @bhash potential collaboration I see. This is big problem. DriveU drivers have to take rapido or other means to commute that can cost money and time, these portable bikes can be the answer.

We already use @driveu_in for this purpose for last 3-4 years ! And i guess that’s one of their main use cases! Question to @kiranshaw would you like to invest in @driveu_in ??

We have ‘Drive U’ exactly for this use case. Been around for years. And Rapido provides the driver transport.

@driveu_in already exists in India.

Mumbai has this service called “party driver” since a decade. Though not app based but they have pasted posters across the city with a mobile number.

If I am not wrong, they have a similar situation in Korea, and I think they have been doing it before China, but kudos to such nations, although I am not sure how safe it will be for India.

This could be better used for medical emergencies as well.

It's in China since a decade. Old finds.

Ppl who go to pubs should use public transport..if you are planning to put more cars and vehicles on roads to already choked roads and cities, it's gonna be a disastors

@ct_frog

In Mumbai, there are several such a service providers not regulated (while not free but a nominal ₹900 for a one way ride) where you call a driver to ride your vehicle in case you are at a party. This insurance part and the service to be free should be

Question should ideally be: why was this not founded in India? Fyi: we do not have the infrastructure for drivers to arrive on foldable bicycles or e-scooters

The single biggest change to indian governance can come via financial empowerment of women Here’s my take on how direct benefit transfer to women is an absolute game changer

Hi Kiran, we’re building exactly this in India through Sevenco. Our app just went live in Mumbai, and we’re hiring drivers to help make roads safer by reducing drunk driving. We’d be grateful for any mentorship, introductions or guidance as we scale across India.

It works in west and used to use during my stay in Hungary as there is zero tolerance there for drink and drive. We used to have Mars for male drivers and Venus for female drivers. In India it can work well for girls who want to have a late evening party and drive home safely with something like Venus.

all bengaluru/indian start ups do is emulate. no originality ever. lol

Beautiful idea !! The Chinese are ahead of the west for sure !!

Apparently, such a service already exists in India, and Dubai has a similar offering as well. I'm not sure why people insist on driving themselves when they already know they're heading out for a night on the town. Why not just opt for cab service?

If one can get away with few hundred rupees if caught then why would one risk their expensive car being driven by a random guys who may have gotten license on the same day. India doesn’t have any practical enforcement of law.

So we have Drive U

This existed in Bengaluru atleast 5 years back. Don't know about now

We have smethng called partyhard drivers in mumbai for donkey years

For people who are spending money on beverages giving free service ? Instead , let poor people get the required service by others.

Aren’t these services already available??

Party Hard Drivers is a similar service that has been around in Mumbai since December 2007

Can someone launch this kind of folding scooter for last mile connectivity? I am willing to buy this and use metro for travels.

very good idea.

Its already there in bangalore. DriveU
