The least we can do is give them the support they deserve, both during their service and in retirement. We introduced the Federal Enhancement for Tactical Canine Help (FETCH) Act to expand and reinforce how law enforcement agencies can use existing federal grant funding to support their K-9 units. These dogs save lives. They deserve our care from their first day on the job to their last. Back the blue.

MACE WIN: We recently announced the University of South Carolina Beaufort’s $3.87 million federal grant through the Health Resources and Services Administration to expand its nursing program. We worked closely with the Health Resources and Services Administration to support this funding, including submitting a congressional letter of support from our office. South Carolina faces one of the worst nursing shortages in the country, with as many as one in five positions projected to go unfilled by 2036. The funding will help train up to 64 new nurses each year, strengthen rural healthcare, and fill critical workforce gaps across the Lowcountry.
