SOMEONE PUT AN OPENCLAW-RUN VENDING MACHINE IN SAN FRANCISCO an AI agent is running an actual physical vending machine OpenClaw decides what to sell, how to name the products, how to price them, creates the ads, and tracks all the sales you can even see a dashboard of all the sales that the AI vending machine made the vending machine hardware does the dispensing. the AI does everything else, and of course inventory is supplied by the guy who runs it it's installed at Frontier Tower in SF which is a building packed with AI and robotics startup founders the agent forgot things, hallucinated, and at one point raised prices way too high. then tried to justify it because people were still buying we are now living in a simulation.

YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS UP A vending machine that dispenses needles and pipes sitting in the middle of a residential neighbourhood. This is what the Liberals have normalized in Canada. Instead of recovery, they’ve promoted hard drug use, unleashing crime and chaos while doing nothing to get addicts off the poison that’s killing them. This isn’t compassion. It’s chaos. Canadians deserve safe streets and recovery programs that work—not vending machines that fuel drug use and disorder.

These women found a “mystery vending machine” in their local town, they were excited to see what goodies were in store for them. Mind you, they each paid $10 each for these, I have no idea what made them think it was a “mystery vending machine” like they would get a special prize, I bet the owner is laughing his way to the bank. Would it be worth it to trick a friend into buying one just to see their face?

The latest and greatest wave of vending machines is here and they are AI. Scan your card, it authorizes a preset amount by the owner for like $10 to make sure you have money, then it allows me to open the door. I take what I want and multiple cameras track what was taken and charges my card when I close the door. There is battery backup in case anyone wants to unplug it and steal. Would you use this, is it really impossible to steal from? I once tried to have a vending machine at the shop, I stocked it with things I think kids would like, candy, chips, basic items that appeal to everybody really. It’s a good way to make money but not without some headaches. People trying to shake the machine, items getting stuck, glitches that overcharge or undercharge and people trying to scam me claiming they out a $50 or other high amount in and claiming the machine took it. I ended up getting rid of it when it broke, I didn’t feel like having it serviced and ended up selling it to another location. Would I do it again? Not snacks, I would do a drink one, they seem to be the popular one especially bottled water. One of my friends has one and she buys the bottled water at Costco for cheap and turns around and sells it in the machine for $3.
