Pretty cool. As a fellow aviation nerd I also love watching the raw GPS data that gets captured from the sensors if you remove your phone from airplane mode and turn the location on, it is pretty cool. There are a couple of apps on App store that allow you to see the real-time data. But this is very well executed. Good job.

Airplane mode doesn’t affect gps positioning right?

So if I remember correctly, Android used to disable location services on airplane mode before some OS update. Now I think it keeps your WiFi, bluetooth and location enabled if they were enabled before switching to airplane mode. But it's just a muscle memory now for me now.

If you don't get it, probably you don't fly enough 😅 Rather this one is not for you. This app is more for the geeks who want to see the real time data of their flight and their flight position on map. One may argue I can use Google maps but on iOS it doesn't work unless you have entire map downloaded.

If you open the map, it will show your location during the flight as well; GPS works there too. And if you set some destination and start navigation it will tell your speed.

No altitude data and you need the offline maps downloaded on iPhone
