This is a video of atrial fibrillation as seen from the robot’s perspective. We’re using the DaVinci 5, the latest generation of the Da Vinci Surgical System, which provides 3D, high-definition visualization and precise robotic control. This allows surgeons to perform minimally invasive cardiac procedures with greater accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

the trick i’m using to get some decent looking balancing is to model the upper and lower spine separately. my thinking is that the lower spine is where all the balance happens (since it’s entirely manipulated by the abdomen muscles), and the upper spine we kind of use to try to keep a vibe of uprightness. the upper spine has slower critical damping, while the lower spine anticipates and overshoots.

AR and Robotics is such an amazing combination The video doesn’t do it justice but interacting natively in 3D space is intuitive and feels natural This is @Spectacles driving a Reachy Mini from Hugging Face and Pollen Robotics Thanks again to SensAI Hackademy 🙂

Imagine having a ping pong robot! 🏓 Researchers and developers building physical AI: meet Reachy 2 from Pollen Robotics, an open-source, humanoid robot for real-world experimentation. It’s a bimanual mobile manipulator: each 7-DOF arm mimics human proportions and can lift up to 3 kg, giving dexterity for object handling. It can be controlled with Python and ROS2 Humble, or go straight into VR teleoperation, use a headset to move Reachy’s arms, hands, and head, and see through its cameras as if you’re in the robot’s own body. Want it to move around? A mobile base with three omnidirectional wheels, rich sensors, and LiDAR lets Reachy 2 navigate and explore its surroundings smoothly. 🗺️ Under the hood, it’s powered by a CPU system that’s ready for machine learning, perfect for loading AI frameworks and testing new models from Hugging Face directly on the robot. Keep making robots more, and more accessible Pollen team! ... and keep making more open source models to make robots more mainstream clem 🤗!

India has carried out the successful launch of Intermediate Range Agni-Prime Missile from a Rail based Mobile launcher system. This next generation missile is designed to cover a range up to 2000 km and is equipped with various advanced features. The first-of-its-kind launch carried out from specially designed Rail based Mobile Launcher, has the capability to move on Rail network without any pre-conditions that allows User to have a cross country mobility and launch within a short reaction time with reduced visibility. Congratulations to DRDO, Strategic Forces Command (SFC) and the Armed Forces on successful test of Intermediate Range Agni-Prime missile. This successful flight test has put India in the group of select nations having capabilities that have developed canisterised launch system from on the move rail network.

One advantage of mounting sensors high on the Zoox robotaxi is a better view of the world around it. Here, the robotaxi detected a skateboarder emerging from behind a row of cars and into its path, allowing it to brake and come to a stop safely.

We’re excited to announce that Kled has received a $1 million LOI from Superpower to help build the future of healthcare AI. Superpower Health, a $300M healthcare leader, has tasked Kled with unlocking one of the most valuable datasets in the world: how the world’s best doctors deliver care to their patients. Kled is building new healthcare integrations inside our app. Patients will be able to securely connect their healthcare portals and share anonymized chat history from conversations with their doctors. In return, they get paid. That data is then licensed to companies like Superpower Health to power next-generation healthcare AI, always with user consent and transparency. This supports Superpower’s mission to make the world’s best healthcare accessible to everyone. This is just the beginning. Healthcare is one of the most important uses of AI, and Kled is positioned to be at the center of it.

.Xynova is one of the top rising players in China’s dexterous hand and humanoid robot components space, based in Hangzhou • They develop not only the hands but also all core components (linear actuators, motors, etc) and algorithms fully in-house • They use a hybrid drive system, combining tendon-driven and direct-drive methods • One of the most exciting features is wrist control and finger abduction/adduction, delivering much more natural hand and arm dexterity • They prevent the hand from overheating by placing one of the actuators in the arm (below the palm) • Hands are equipped with tactile sensors and lidars, with 23 DoF (human hands have ~27 DoF) The overall design is deeply inspired by real human hand and arm muscle movements, impressive biomimicry approach The Humanoid Hub and I interviewed their tech lead so stay tuned for more technical details!

THE CASUAL REALISM OF AI IS CROSSING A DANGEROUS LINE If this popped up on your feed, you would glance at it for half a second and assume it’s just another candid mirror clip saved to someone’s story. A plain room, indoor lighting, a phone case, and a quick pose. There are no glowing sci-fi artifacts or exaggerated physics giving it away. That’s what makes this wave of video models so convincing. For years, mirrors and tight reflective materials like leather or latex were the ultimate stress test for computer graphics. Glass would bend unpredictably, light bounces looked unnatural, and the physical weight of the body never matched the posture. Now, the models are replicating the subtle, imperfect quirks of a phone camera: room glare, natural balance, and casual micro-movements. A year ago, synthetic video was easy to bust within two seconds. Today, generative clips are learning to look just as spontaneous, flawed, and normal as the real world.
