HBCUs need help because states and the federal government owe them billions in stolen funding. Let's start there.

Mane, I wish him success. That being said, this ain't a good look. If you got the 'connections' to build where you're at, just do so and keep it moving. Don't the "HBCU Savior" stuff mane unless you understand WHY the status quo is there. News flash! It ain't all 'broken' admins.

If you got an issue with how Coach Ed Reed and Prime move then you are part of the problem

Underfunded by 12billion dollars.

Wow. He's talking about change and the people commenting on here are talking about him!!! Smh

Reed probably doesn’t understand how colleges are funded and how HBCU have been underfunded to the point where sports aren’t a priority.

I’m tried of these PWI ppl coming to HBCU and act like they going to save it but just want to get them feet wet to move on. Go be great at your schools who didn’t or won’t hire you. I agree with one thing these ADM need to stop hiring ppl who want to talk about the schools

There’s a difference between some and all. HBCU alum will tell you that all HBCUs are not the same..just the same way all non HBCUs are the same. Bethune is private and gets funded differently than a school in a state system.

Not broken mentalities but at time’s broken funding, broken external promises and broken consistency of processes. As a HBCU alumna and former AD, there are good people working in these institutions. They need support and recognition just like the students.

So says a black athlete who was exploited and pimped by a PWI for financial gain. All of a sudden he’s an HBCU expert. Bethune needs to withdraw that offer RIGHT NOW!
